My 27 days old White Widows

Hi Guys
Maybe you can help me out. My White Widows are growing great, and look somewhat healthy enough, but they're crumbling the leaves a bit like this:

My man, Sproutco told me earlier, that it looked like my plants were in need of some zinc. Is that still the problem?
I'm using General Hydroponics, and they assured me, that there was enough zinc in their micro, and that it was in no way necessary to add more zinc than prescription. So what's my problem? I'm watering them once every day. Ph is great. 50% humidity and 22celcius. I thought since growing in rockwool cubes that overwatering wouldn't be a problem. Could this be caused by the watering 1 every day? I am just afraid that they'll dry out, with the ekstra 500w halogen booster i use now (just to heat up the room, but figured this was better than a heater)

Please let me know what u think is wrong. I don't know this strain - maybe the leaves are even supposed to be like this??
Peace :chin:

Honestly, I don't see many signs of zinc deficiency in these pictures. Don't be alarmed if you get mild zinc deficiency. Anytime you have the plants roots constricted like using small containers, you will get a little deficiency.

Things to do to improve your situation:
>increase warmth; 22c is cool; don't let temps get lower than 20c day or night

>Get the florescent bulbs only an inch or two from the tops of the plants; they can almost touch; your plants look a little leggy...try closer next time from the beginning

>be careful not to overwater; you might let the plants go to slight wilting (not fully wilting) to find how long they can go; letting them go to slight wilting helps keep plants shorter

>be careful not to overfeed; your using a low level of light compared to hid lights so you use less ferts

Overall, they look great.

Hi Sproutco - tx again
I'll try and put the lights further down. The reason why they're a bit high is because of the 500w working lights that are going in from the side to make heat in the room. I thought it would be good enough, but it seems they stretch towards the fluors.. I'll put some more fluors to the room soon to help getting temps up a bit too (know fluors don't give much heat, but i just like them for spreading light out nicely to the veggingface.
I'll give them slightly less food too, and see what happens i a couple of days.
Take a look at my new ebb and flow system and let me hear what u think
Thanks a lot my m8

Okay, thanks guys. They look healthyer now. (see the grow in link) I think i might have blown too much on them. After some break with the blower, they seem happyer. Think there's enough air in the room for these small babies too.

Yeah Mibri, they look pretty healthy to me. Some strains just have more color than others. I have a Blue Mystic that is lime green in veg and darkens to an almost black-green in flower. My Nirvana W Widows are also looking pretty green like those, keep it up.

Yep, your humidity was too low. The blowing could have contributed to the low humidity or if you just had low ambient humidity and then blew that dry air on them they would crinkle. I find immature plants like high humidity.
You were at 50%, you could be at 75%.
From what I hear, the widow is a sensitive girl. She don't like anything except her way.

Oaky - tx guys. I'll take gooood care of her. I'm on them full time these couple of weeks. Now i can't train anymore for a day or so, so today's cleaning day. Gonna build some water and drainage inside the room, so i can work in there without getting out of the room at all.

^^^ Good idea, that's one of the reasons bedroom grows suck, access to drain and water source.

Good call inflorescence, you want humidity in veg from min 45-75% max Mibri. Under 45 and they transpire more than the roots can take in too high and they will slow in transpiration and metabolism and grow more slowly. Once they have a good root ball/mat, they can take alot more abuse.
