mushrooms?

i kno this is not a shroom forum or have anything to do with em. but here me out. im sure alot of u kno tons about shrooms and i have made a choice to grow them. i have never before and i would love any advice on homemade ways to produce around a half lb a harvest. im low on cash so nothing too expensive. thank you very much for helping me out. peace.

Read the threads in this forum I've given plenty of advice and tutorials... Read about monotubs and produce them.. Don't bother with the PF cakes they are a waste and spawning to bulk is just as easy.. You should do about 6 months worth of reading before you decide to cultivate.. That is a good goal to shoot for.. Put aside about $250 and that can easily get well on your way to growing.. A perpetual crop with mushrooms is much different then weed... The growing cycles are much much different so you really need to research how mushrooms grow and the time frames.. You can get a hervest from start to finish in anywhere from 3-6 months.. Sometimes sooner..

There are alot of factors to consider.. The biggest will be cleanliness.. Being sterile is probabily the most important things when growing mushrooms.. You should learn about gloveboxes and clean your house very well.. Being sterile is the best thing.. So 1st clean your house and clean your growroom.. Scrub the walls of the growrooms with disinfectant.. Also always keep alcohol and bleach nearby.. Read Read Read I can't stress that enough.. Don't jump in head 1st with no knowledge.. Take the time to read and prepare... Make a sound plan as well..

As far as yeild.. A half pound is an easy goal.. But the frequency of your harvests is the tricky part.. If you want a half pound a month then you are going to have to have multiple projects running concurrently at different stages.. Also making spawn will be another constant thing.. You will constantly need to make spawn.. So figure out what kind you want to use and how you are going to colonize it.. The best way is to isolate and store stock cultures with agar.. Then use your stock cultures to innoculate more agar dishes and then use wedges of mycellium to innoculate jars or bags filled with rye.. Then you use the fully colonized spawn to innoculate a bulk substrate.. After the bulk substrate is colonized you can either fruit or case.. Then once fruitbodies develope you harvest then dry..
