I'm just finishing my first auto grow under a HPS and the results are indeed interesting.
I started with the following:
6x. Low Life White Russian - 6 for 6 female.
I ended up keeping the two that showed the most vigor. One was kept indoors under perfect conditions under a 600W HPS, and the other went outdoors.
My queen as I call her measures exactly 12", has 8 branches producing bud from top to bottom, with the center cola measuring 2.5 inches. The outer colas are around 2". She is 49 days from seed. The leaves started to turn yellow on day 43, and I now have a 25% red hair ratio. This thing is finishing right on track for 60 days. I'm guessing she's going to pull an easy 1/2 oz.
It smells of produce going bad, and when I put it in the closet at night time by morning the closest has the most interesting smell. Loving it.
8x. Diesel Ryder - 6 Females, 2 Males.
Compared to the White Russians these are liking watching paint dry AT first. They stay very low, almost to low, making it hard to water. Out of the 6 females I decided to keep the 2 most vigorous. But as my luck would have it, one of my friends dogs decided to take a leak on my Diesel that was outdoors, and it killed it within 48 hours.
The one that remains measures 13" tall, and all 8 branches are producing buds top to bottom. Out of all the strains this one has a overwhelming smell that makes you just want to keep smelling it. IMO these are the best genetics of the bunch. Everyone was very consistent.
6x. Low life Hindu Kush - 2 Females 3 Males 1 Did not germinate.
This isn't worth writing about. Grows terribly slow, the buds are not stacking top to bottom, they are very small, and overall I'm just not impressed with this one at all.
