What strains do you have outdoors?
I also reproduce landraces...i need to update my thread. I always do a seed run to get 300-1000 of any landrace type i incurr.
Question- is preservation of landraces the name of your game, or selectively breeding these strains? If it is preservation i recommend an open pollination of any worthy plants. Keeps the phenos ranging instead of isolating down. You obviously can do as you please, just opening a conversation.
Curious eyes are watching, best of luck. If you can tell, please tell us where you sources the kalamat and the morroccan.

In my outdoor grow i have: Colombian Mangobiche, Colombian gold, Blue Mountain Jamaican, Panama red, greek kalamata red, an afghan kush line, super lemon haze and apollo 13. I obtained the greek seeds through a family friend of mine who is frome greece who travels back and forth regularly. And the moroccan i obtained through a trade on a different site

I've read mixed reviews on the mangobiche, and it sounds like a bich-ay to finish since it takes a long time. What's your opinion, was it worth growing, and any interesting terps. or quality effects?

When i put it out i didnt plan on it budding since i live in the northern us. Its more of a mother plant for me to get alot of nice clones from. The rest i have grown and finished with great success here. The mangobiche isna wonderful strain in my opinion. Its very very tasty, and smells wonderful. I find it to be quite potents. Very relaxing smooth, heady in the clouds type high. I suffer from severe anxiety and it helps relieve that quite a bit

Is the blue mountain jamaican still available anywhere? Is the Panama Red from Ace Seeds? :tiphat:

Not that i have seen. I got the blue mountain jamaican from bud that was grown in jamaican and brought here and was made available to me. But it is real deal jamaican landrace sativa. And the panama red is from a film cannister my dad had from the 70's that he had seeds in it that he labled panama red

if you have trouble germinating seeds, put them under light and wait 2-4 weeks.. preferably under light

Hell of a lineup!:dance013: Good to hear on the Mangobiche as I have a pack, relaxing yet soaring sounds divine.

That Kalamata is rare as just about any strain. Curious on the Panama Red. I had Colombian Red back in '79 and it had a stony feel, like a modern hybrid. I think lots of Panama Red was Colombian Red, and the real Panama was more soaring in effect. Just my opinion.

Im pretty sure this panama is the real deal. My father (R.I.P 2016) was one of the largest cannabis dealers in michigan in the early 1970's. He handled tons of colombian of both red and gold. He was always connected to the best people with the best sources and often knew the people bringing in the exotic cannabis. So im sure this was the real deal panama red. He told me had about 5 or six gallon baggies full of colombian gold and redbud seeds at one time and had to throw them all away when moving.

Youve been blessed in your contacts for seeds. Cant wait for all of em, but the greek has my upmost attention....ok they all do actually.
On the mangobiche, i ran em indoors in one gallon pots just for seeds, so it cuts the overall flowering time down substantially. They got huge. Probably pound for pound the most aggressive growing plants i have done. I did struggle with them, health wise. I wont knock the strain, great soaring sativa, i just need another round with em, but it was a challenge. Seeds finishes actually pretty fast but i doubt if they were for bud i would have been very sucessful.

I absolutely love everything about the mangobiche, from the germination rate to the finished product it has not let me down and i keep atleast one in every grow since i got the strain.

Hi New hippydon. You lucky sod! :) I also read an article not so long ago naming the 10 rarest strain and there was the Kelamata and the Oaxacan too. Since i am a seed collector (and am thinking of reproducing them mainly for preservation reasons) would it be possible to get hold of some seeds of at least these 2 strains? I am willing and happy to pay for them. No prob! Thank you - Dan

I get so jealous of people with old seeds that germinate. Its way too hot of a climate here for any seeds to last over time without freezer or refrigeration. I tried a few times to germinate a cup full (250 grams) of local sativa seeds saved from my youth, hoping that I would get a handful of plant above ground, but none come up.

Good luck with your preservation. I'm interested in the stuff you have that didn't come from seed bank, its like a lottery ticket.
