multi stage harvest?

So I'm looking for peoples opinion on this topic. If someone had a large semi-guerrilla grow (has land owner permission) and hypothetically the weather was cooperating would you guys harvest the whole plant at once or take the tops and leave the bottoms to ripen?

think you,ll prob start off with taking tops and end up taking whole plants if your plan comes together . not sure what numbers your playing with i know your target though .

did you run multiple strains ? try too stagger your harvest . what strains you running out of curiosity ?

I light dep a 8 week and a 10-11 week strains myself and included some AUTO's even this year (kinda pleased, wish i had put out 100)..

I just chop whole plant, strip fans and anything without sugar....dry/cure and trim at leisure (ifyoudon't mind dry trimming).... or machine trim the lot wet, been there done that....

I agree with everyone above.

Tops first, but I wouldn't expect the rest to ripen/bulk up too much. Another week, two at the absolute most I say.

Also, having different strains that finish in say 7, 8, 9 weeks respectively is a great idea to keep in mind.

Yes the staggered harvest is key

As everyone else said, staged

It is not indoors, you do not have another crop of clones waiting to go in do you... maximise the result in all aspects, harvest any damaged or sad looking parts, then the best buds, and there really is no rush if nature, police and thieves are all being nice... Only take the properly buds and leave the whiter haired, fluffier stuff below to finish properly

Why not mark a few similar lower branches, harvest some with the tops, label and keep safe.. .then about 3 weeks later, harvest their "identical twins" ... label, dry and compare to the immature schwag you harvested with the tops.. no comparison and all for free
