getting the final touches on the new 14 x 20' bloom room and deciding where and how hi to mount the 2 dehueys for best efficiency

the actual grow area will be 14 x 12in length to start
and will go to 14 x 16 with the addition of 2 more lamps.

I have one flower room 10'x7'x10' ceilings and I have one deh on a shelf 4' down from the ceiling. Works great, 36% all the time.
In other rooms like the one I just built, I have them on the floor and it seems to work harder and take longer to get humidity down.
Just my .02

Glad to hear you're almost done and ready fun the real fun.

I put mine right up at the ceiling so it's out of the way and I can drain it into a 55 gallon barrel.

Oh yeah, if you decide to upgrade to a commercial unit, I don't recommend this unit. I'll be looking to get a max dry when funds are available. This one does good during the day but humidity creeps to 70% at night.

thanks for the input guys,
that's good to know about it working harder on the ground mr blah

hey TC,
I hope i don't have to upgrade to a commercial unit...
i'm about broke ass poor as it is right now with money flying out and my grow shut down

seems like every time i turn around mo money $$ is needed for this or that lol :faint: :D

the dehums will be a another day or 2 or 3 and i need the drain system, still figuring that one out :shucks:
i had to pull the circuit/line out for it and have to re-route it t'nite if i can but I can't stand it so I'll prob start stacking plants in before then, maybe t'nite :)
my last thing on the punch list is sealing the door... its gonna take some thought

all in all I am super pleased with the way things have turned out.
I'll start a thread on it the next day or so

here's a pic testing out the Co2 water gen

Looking nice man!

Hate to say it but I moved my first crop in my new room in April and I'm still spending spending spending. Seems like it's always something.

Most recently was a new 4x4 1000 watt tent setup for testing seeds before getting run in the big room.

2 more 275 gallon totes for RO storage, that makes 3 so I can start the winter with 800+ gallons. No plumbing in the barn.

Now I'm thinking of a 1000 gpd RO filter...

It's gotta end soon, right?

Theres usually a bit of a difference in my room with humidity at the floor and ceiling. The temp seems to be consistent on the meters though.
I would mount 1 high and one low. Also depends on what units.
I have a unit that blows the air straight up out of the top of the unit and I have one that blows out of the side.
The one that blows up is on the ground and pumps water out of the room. The other is up on a shelf and I let it drain into the same trash can.
I recommend Hisense over the other brands. I thought I needed 2 because my soleus 70pt unit couldnt keep it stable. Once I plugged in the hisense 70pt I didnt need the soleus 70pt(we'll see once the room is completely full though).
My fridgidair went out after a years use, but it didnt seem as good as the hisense.
There was also recently a large recall on quite a few of the big box store brands.

lol!! yeah man...
I'm finding that out and haven't got the 1st plant in there yet.
everytime i save hundreds on things like making my own lite controller or using the tankless w/h for the Co2 gen i spend twice as much somewhere else.
BUT
when the time comes and I see 50-60 fat cola laden resin coated ladies... :smoke:

Not sure if I'm getting this right, but what's a c02 water gen?

its a Co2 generator made using a tankless propane water heater.
you can buy em @ the hyro sites for $300+,
mines the same thing but 50% cheaper

read about the recall and wanted to get the soleus but went with the 2 friedrich 50s w/built in pumps.
the blow out the top of the units i think.
mine will be off the ground for sure.
I'll have 6-16" ocil. fans running 24/7 so that should help with any Rh hot spots

That seems like a big room for 2 50pts. My 70pts set at 60 remove so much water from an 8x10 its incredible. lol. Before I set up my drain I was emptying the bucket twice during the night cycle and again when lights came on. That was a real pain

the 2 50s are for the nite time use when i get the Rh spike from the plants/Co2
daytime I have a 32,500btu mr slim that will handle the Rh load.
talking to a friend, he has about the same set up as mine only no Co2,
he's in wash. state,
and that's basically a temperate rain forest with Rh galore
he has been using 2 50s for a long time with out any probs so I hope to be good..... fingerz crossed

and i got the dehueys with drain pumps :smoke:

Are you guys using the second unit for just the first 3 hours after lights go out, or the entire night cycle?
Ive been wondering if I would get better efficiency that way

this is my 1st rodeo in a sealed gro this size
but from what ive read in the last year its the nite time spike that's an issue
so both units are par for the course after lites out.

also many are running commercial units like third coast.
its await and see for me but hopefully I'm covered with the 2-50s
