Multi ballest?

I assume that if i expand my gro area from a 250w to two 250w i will need to add anouther ballest? Two lights, two ballests? Thanks

You can wire a DPDT relay (flip-flop) to double the output of a single ballast as shown below. Go to the link-o-rama's electrical section for tutorials on how to do this.

I guess i forgot to mention that this is regarding hps lights. I dont want to switch but run two lights at once.

There are dual lamp ballasts available, but they are just two ballasts mounted inside of one box.

And they're usually more expensive than buying two individual ballasts. You also have to send both back if one blows out!

The Lumatek Dual 600, though, can run off one outlet, and is cheaper than two 600 Lumateks. I'm running several of them right now and they're really nice.
