mulching?

i think it would be fine, but i have never used it. i have used a layer of clay soil on top of my plants to hold in water better though.

try it and let us know how it works.

Im not real sure,but from 26+ yrs of growing I would think that cedar mulch is NOT
good for MJ that is in pots.An alternate such as straw,hay,dead weeds would work just fine.

I would think that the constant water draining over red cedar would infact effect PH and maybe some other things just below.Cedar is a very well adapted tree and just about nothing such as>>Termites,wood beetle or any other pest,insect ect can harm it
or kill it.So my own commen sence says No Prolly not good for MJ roots.
