Muffler Question

Has anyone tried attaching some kind of a muffler to the passive air intake of their grow box to deaden the whooshing air sound?
Did a search & didn't come up with anything satisfactory.

Search for duct mufflers and yes I have as well as other. It has decreased the sound of moving air by at least 50 percent. You can make them yourself, as it is almost like a carbon scrubber except instead of using carbon you use a baffling material like fibreglass. And also instead on having one end closed off, the muffler is open on both. Standard size is 6 inches if you buy them online.

Works great. I used polyfill/quilt batting instead of fibreglass. Hooks up to exhaust though, not intake.
