Evangelist and quasi-celebrity Pat Robertson made national headlines this week when he declared he favors marijuana’s legalization. MSNBC, knowing the value of a viral hot topic and how worked up people get about religion, piggy backed on the Robertson story, and posed an interesting [but not exactly novel] question to a group of theologists and “religion experts.”
While they predictably received mixed interpretations and feedback, the general consensus [and really, only right answers] seems to overwhelmingly suggest that Jesus Christ used marijuana. The most accurate and viable response came from Cal A.P. Ruck, a Boston University classical studies professor.


He says cannabis was widely cultivated throughout early Christian times, and contends Jesus himself used it. Jesus’ anointment with chrism, a cannabis-based oil, may have caused his spiritual visions, he adds. “Residues of cannabis, moreover, have been detected in vessels from Judea and Egypt in a context indicating its medicinal, as well as visionary, use. Jesus is described by the apostle Mark as casting out demons and healing by the use of this holy chrism,” Ruck wrote in a 2003 newspaper column titled “Was there a whiff of cannabis about Jesus?” “Earlier, from the time of Moses until the later prophet Samuel, holy anointing oil was used by the shamanic Levite priesthood to receive the ‘revelations of the Lord.’ The chosen ones were drenched in this potent cannabis oil.” [CSNBC]


For those that doubt or disagree about Jesus’ use of the magical plant known as cannabis:
would a smoke-free man ever let his hair grow to such depths?
Or tell people he can walk on water?

This will shock you. Few have ever seen evidence, let alone proof, that Cannabis is in the bible. The word Cannabis today, may actually be derived from the Hebrew word used in scripture. The actual word cannabis is literally in the New Testament as well. The City Jesus did his first Miracle in was called Cana, that is the word we get Cannabis from. Cana is a Greek Transliteration of Cannabis. This was anciently known as the City of Cannabis. Watch this video it may change your whole perspective on Jesus.
