Mr. Mortakis $moots First Grow

Being my first grow im happy to get a little something to beable to smoke on and i've learned a lot from these plants. i started out with 5 plants of some mid grade that i've been smokin on for about 8 months now. 2 of the plants were males, 1 died and i have 2 females. i just mixed regular generic potting soil with manure. not a real technical grow, but Im planning on doing a grow indoors over the winter.

these are recent pictures, i'll post all the other's up later from the beginning to the end.

this is the female mid grade plant.

this plant, was one that i thought had died so i tossed it onto the edge of the woods. it was a neglected plant but decided to grow on its own on the edge of the woodline around my house. seems to be a very potent strain with a sweet/sour smell. if anyone has any idea to actually what type of strain it could be i'd love to know!

as you can see, before i noticed this baby was still growing bugs had gotten to it and ate some of the leaves. it looks so much better since i've been taking care of it... this picture was on sept 7th.

if anyone has any advice i'd love to know. i'll update with some new pictures as the plants get closer to harvest.

thanks

Looks pretty good for a first grow. Here's a little advice, mulch around your plants with small sticks and broken up forest rubble. It helps conserve moisture, cool the soil, and helps keep it from forming a crust, which doesn't allow the water to soak in as fast.

Good luck in the rest of the season.

oh yah, i also forgot to mention ... since the started flowering i've been using fox farm's big bloom nutes. seems to be doing what its suppose to do. thanks for the tip, i'll be doing that tomorrow on both of them.

Good choice of fertilizer. Let me just add that you shouldn't use too many leaves if you can help it, and if there are a few, try and break them up as much as you can. They can cause water to bead and not soak in well, especially if there are a lot of them.

It looks like those plants should no longer be classified as mid grade...

Congrats on a nice first grow. Sadly you're finishing up the easy part...the next few months of waiting will be without a doubt the longest few months of your life.

hey every one.. the plants are doing awesome. I got some new pictures but I have to get on a faster connection to put them up. But what i was worried about, is im planning on cutting them at the end of the month or maybe stretch it into the beginning of October. I wanted to put some type of pesticide on them to kill off anything that maybe living on them. i've noticed parts of a spider web here and there and also just being outside on the edge of the woods im sure there is stuff living on them. what would be my best option to handle this?? i've read about making like a peppery spray for the plants.. is that really my only choice? i'll get the new pictures up as soon as i can. thanks!
