Moving Indoor Seeds starts outdoor

after starting seeds what lighting schedule would i use indoors if i want under lights to get them 2-4 feet tall before putting them out in 14 hours 44 mins of sunlight june 1st?

Also what is the easiest way to sex a bunch of seeds with minimal stress to the plant?

18/6 if space is a factor and you want to stunt growth a bit, otherwise 24/0 and just top the plants to keep height down and distribute the bud sites more evenly (avoiding large colas for risk of budrot). You want to develop a large and healthy root system with that long a veg - that's what will give you the yield in the end.

The easiest way to sex them is to just let them show naturally. The safe route for doing it maybe a bit faster (maybe) is to take cuttings and flower them to determine sex, killing the cuttings once determined. The risky route is to just put them into flowering after a few weeks and flip them back to veg when they've shown sex. This can stress them though.

Hope that helps a bit.

Just look up the sunrise and sunset times for your area on June 1st and set your timer to that cycle. Obviously gradually get them to that cycle so they don't flower on you.

anyone else on this? I have had them flip before trying to gradually get them down. What rate is acceptable?

stretch it out as long as possible imo, but later on if you are starting from seed you can start on your final cycle from the get go.

Run the light 24/0 and the growth will be better/faster than 18/6
More light more action!
Leave them under the light until they are the size you want them to be starting outside
Top, train, all that in the meantime to maximize the plants profiles.

I like to leave seedling in cups for a while
A long while
Getting root bound seems to bring the males out sooner before flipping, though you still need to watch your plants develope in bloom. Nobody dies no one gets hurt.

Good luck
