Moving in to House with to Women -strangers-

So, as the title suggests I'm moving into a new place with two roommates, who happen to both be women, and strangers to me. the both of them have lived together for about a year and I met them through a "craigslist" ad. I know they smoke herb so I'm not worried about that, and, I don't have any intentions of growing in the home as i will only be there for a 7 month period. I'm just wondering if there is anything I need to watch out for because I haven't lived with another woman in a long time, and last time it was in a romantic situation....anyone been down this road before?? any tips to make my stay easy going?

How about you just pretend they're guys? No special techniques for living with female room mates over guys. The things that'll piss off guy room mates will piss off women room mates.

Just be a good room mate, treat them no differently than you would a guy room mate.

I would not suggest getting romantic (or even just lustful) with either of them. That's a recipe for disaster.

And yeah, they will have their periods at the same time. Get a mini fridge and be prepared to stay out of the common areas for a week of every month. Pretend you're doing a bomb drill once a month - just go into your shelter with a weeks worth of supplies, and don't come out for fear of death

good advice on the minifridge nitetiger.....and yeah, I for the most part plan on treating them just like any other male roommate, I just hope I don't say the wrong thing or do the wrong thing in front of them.......

nycdfan....I shouldn't have any problems raping them or stalking there friends....those urges don't ever really enter my mind.....maybe thats a common problem but I am very respectful of women and have alot of self control...would you have that problem??

Blue, with any new roommates,since you are the newby, it is a good idea to just sit down with them and ask them what the house rules are, as you want to get along with both of them. They will probably appreciate the fact that you recognize that they have been roommates for a while and have certain things they like to do. Unless you have a private bath room, you need to remember that women need a lot more time in there than men do. You probably remember that from your last relationship. Just make sure that you clean up after yourself and do your part of the chores.
