The distance should be OK, and they should come around in a day. If they keep drooping you may have to move the light further away and wean it closer as they get used to it.......

more than likely the heat. or the sudden change in light bands. either way they should get over it. just watch the temps and keep evthig else normal. they can adjust to light changes. Peace, TBug

High JJ! Thats right too. HID is much more powerful. I never put them closer than 3.5 feet. but mine are 400w. Peace, TBug

I have a pair of 400's and I usually keep them 6 to 10 in away at the very most. A small fan blowing across the top of the plants helps a lot.
IMO the light is too intense. back off a bit and gradually bring them closer. they should addjust rather quickly.

Like i said i keep my 400s 3 feet away. plants are very fine with it and dont strech a bit. Peace, TBug

Plants should be gradually introduced to the HID. Flouros are weak when it comes to intensity. Next time just move your plants under the HID for about an hour a day for like 3 days and they should be fine.

They should pick up, and take off in a couple of days. Not only did you change the spectrum's, and lumens. You also changed the time of the cycles, all factors to your plants life...
