I stopped reading when it said $344 to $444
I have two big Mt. Aire filters. I can attest to the longevity of these things. I have a ten inch flange (not sure of model number) that has been filtering air for over two years with the same carbon. Still works great, well maybe its working good now.
I recently acquired a 14 inch flange filter and its pretty massive. I have a 14 inch can fan max hooked up to it, and its a sweet combo.
I don't know how to refill it, cause i have not needed to. I do know that you need or it would be helpful to have a tool to jam the carbon down in, because a tight fit will keep you safe!

Well, I think the purpose of this forum is to create, observe, and produce home growing environments rather than simply getting out your checkbook. With a little searching, you'll find excellent carbon filter how-to's right here at ICMAG saving you hundreds of dollars. Even the filters on eBay are cheap and ready-made, much less than Mountain Air...JMO
You use a pop rivet gun to pop rivets in. They're quite cheap and generally one will come with enough rivets for quite a long period of riveting action. You could also use sheet metal screws of appropriate diameter.
Perfect timing! I just refilled mine last night. Let me tell you it was a little tedious (it was the first time I've done it) I had mine for a while. To remove the rivets you have to drill them out with the right sized drill bit (3/16) and then go and get a cheap pop rivet gun to replace the ones you drilled out after you refill it. watch out though it can get messy
Eyes, most carbon filters not working seems to be a pressure issue. It's easily the biggest issue you should pay attention to. You need to think about the different parts in the chain and think about what pressures are involved and what will happen if there was a hole in your ducting or if the tape came loose etc. By working with pressure, you will avoid failure. My ducting is ratty as hell and it's not even sealed properly but no smell leaks will occur, the pressures prevent it.
Ive had a cheap growstore in house brand fail after 3 months. Waste of $200 CAD. Found a 10" mountain air for $300 ! Anyone know where to get carbon to refill this bad boy when the time comes? Im assuming mountain air isn't going to sell refill carbon or point the way where to get it!

Yeah I was thinking maybe someone has a source for really good carbon that Mountain Air uses or to that caliber. Pet shop Carbon or from Walmart,is most likely not the best kind for Air filtration for Plant Odours. Plus it would be nice to be able to buy it for cheap in bulk once, and then be set for a few years.
