Motorcycle Questions..."help me find me a bike challenge"

I need help finding a motorcycle?
maybe have to sort of "create one"
I need some help here.

bottom line is that I want what could be best described as a "street-legal" "Trials bike" (((("TRIALS" not Trails))))

I ride BMX dirt and street and I want a cycle that can mimic that on street (street and stair gaps and curb jumps.. wallrides ...etc..)..and then jump on the road, and maybe hit 60 mph.

what do i need to do?

sort of like this, but needs to be made street legal, and I'm sure gears need changed??? (but then it will lack in other areas)

I like the yam tw200: (but its not gonna be an urban assault machine)=

also like the Honda transalp/africa twin...but probably not agile enough=

I liked the scorpa 4tricks= (70cc yamaha on a bmx, but cant hit the road)

what do you guys think?
maybe need to get the modern trials, and change the gearing...to get best of all worlds?...but not sure

I also want 4 stroke even though I want to be loud and obnoxious like a 2 stroke?

seriously guys help me out here.

Not sure if a 4 stroke in a design like that would work very well. Of course given enough time, a bit of whiskey, my pencils and good music I can probably design just about anything. But that's just me.

BMW came out with some strange looking hybrid thing. Not sure it would have quite the agility you're looking for though. I've seen adds of them crossing all kinds of terrain and they are street legal too. Maybe something toward the right direction for you?

Also, check your local state laws. Some bikes only need to be 30cc, have headlight and tail light, and some other minor details (horn, possibly turn signals, etc.) to be street legal. They basically register them like scooters. So maybe one of the bikes you've posted here could be modified to street status. Just some ideas for you.

Thanks for the help SC  I knew someone on here would have some insight.

I'm gonna look up that BMW u mentioned...i think its the 650 GS dakar. (it might be a bit big for me though)

This is probably ideal for what i want on the street (illegal BMX type street stunt stuff), but dont think its available in the USA...just in europe or something

have any of you guys in europe ever seen one of these riding around? or the USA?

but like i said i dont think its available here (i guess that doesnt mean i couldent buy one and have it shipped over) but i wouldent know where to find one.

i cant even find specs. on it...maybe it was just a prototype?

The bad part is replacing rubber all the time. Those tires wear down fast on blacktop. Without something knobby, you will be laying it down in fields. Kawasaki and Yamaha both have some good on/off road bikes for under 5 grand.....You don't want to be changing gears either or it will be no fun. My suggestion if you don't have much off road experience would be to get a 250 enduro. Years ago I had a 400 and that is a lot of bike for off road........

I had a Kawasaki KLR 650 for years and loved every minute of it. Very powerful for the size both on and off road, though definitely not a 'trials'' bike. Runs over 115mph on the open road (with a few mods on the fuel and air). Easy to work on, widely availble OEM and aftermarket parts, extremely durable. I took mine from Seattle to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico mostly on secondary roads with side trips offroad. And, it rides two-up no problem so you can take your chick with you and she'll love you long time!

ill check the KLR out. Good point about having a seat for the 'ol lady!

however, My girl doesn't like motorcycles, or even the thought of me having one.
she knows that there is always gonna be danger aound the corner no matter what direction i go. Ive had many lectures about it.

she is cool with snowmachines and getting lost in winter though.
