anyone still have this strain? i had it about 10 years ago and ended up phasing it out. looking back i wish i still had this cut. super funky, tastey, skunky, flavor that i adore. i havent heard much of it for years and havent seen anyone else growing it out..( at least near me). the buds are, like i said super funky and it is a petent sativa haybris. just curious if its alive and well. i sure hoe so... it is a really good strain and yeilds well, especially outdoors. i think it got eclipsed first by thepurple craze and then the sour diesel, og kush fever that swept through cali and the rest of the counrty. ( not saying sd/ chemdawg line started in cali, just that the state had a craze for these strains among others) please tell me someone has these genetics still. its too good of a strain to disappear.

I too miss mothership. Would love to taste that completely unique tasty flavor again. I'd especially love to try in concentrate forms. Let us know if you find it!

I saut out this strain for many years to no avail. After reading about it in Jk's cannabible.

After some searching I did find some info on here saying it was bread in NC and still makes rounds in that area. Also that it was sup to be GreenCrack/Mexican sativa...
I will try n find those posts to provide the sorce..
As a sativa feind it sound fantastic and I would eagerly swoop a cut if I ever hear it mentioned in my circles..
All the best in your hunt. And oc
Big ups respect and happy growng!!!

So is this strain out of circulation? Please say it sin so joe! Such a magnificent strain in all forms. Growth structure, taste, yeild bag appeal it's got it all! Beautiful sativA that just eats up what you give her. Does well in organics. With house and garden it has it all and that flavor. Mushy taste before Kush was a thing... anyone who has her share the love!!!

That's a real shame, I too drooled that strain after seeing it in eddy lepps
garden in the Cannabible.
Looked epic, just like eddys grow.

Someone must hold it?
Mind you, I thought it was pretty rare back then..

hey relic (and others), were you on the west coast when you last had this strain?
i was on the (south) east coast and last saw it about 10 years ago, still trying to locate this as well. i used to know some of the people who were in contact with the group that circulated the clone around (as I could tell it had different growers over the years by it's decrease in quality). i'm on the west coast now and really missing all of the unique strains i used to get. unfortunately on the east coast with the laws being so strict, people really stay hidden and or don't stick around too long so i'm afraid some of these genetics may be lost or out of my reach, but just wanted to keep this thread going and to say that i'm actively on the hunt and trying to track these genetics down. as a flavor connoisseur, i'm on the hunt for the most unique and delicious flavors and mothership will always stand out as one of the most unique flavors in all history for me. what i'm honestly interested in is collecting these genetics (or finding people who have them) to produce samples which i could lab test for terpenoid profile so i could begin to catalogue all strain flavor profiles. of course the problem now being that not all terpenoids are tested in standard tests so that would require next level testing, but as a true flavor connoisseur, its about time we start to have genetic and terp profile proofs and start correctly identifying/cateloging/labeling cannabis strains and have some genetic integrity instead of just a bunch of names floating around. sorry for the rant, but it's the thought strains and the possibility of losing them , like the mothership that drive this pasion.

I have mothership seeds. A friend of mine dad who had been an avid grower for as long as I've been alive ...R.I.P. . Pass along some of his library to me. Got some Friesland and cherry also. Old school Durban p. Early 80s stuff. TEXADA TIMEWARP. The flavor profiles on some of the above mentioned have been so ridiculous, we have started talking about them like fine wines. And fairly so. Let me know if I can be of any assistance.
Cheers.

Yes indeed, super duper cool Mischief (PMed you).

I've heard differing stories on Mothership, some saying it's clone only (which is what I've heard online) however the story I heard in person was that a couple of buddies went to Amsterdam and brought the seeds home and popped them and that's were it came from. This comes from a friend of a friend who had the mothership so not sure how accurate the story is.

Either way I'm extremely excited and curious to see what your old school library produces!
I love some old durban p, the pheno that's labeled as durban poision today in the bay is completely different than the durban I always knew (the one in the bay seems like a totally different strain to be honest and is similar to jack herer where as the durban i had coming out of NC was not at all like jack).

I too have a friend of my dads who had been growing since the 70s and saved his seeds each year and bred the best plants together each year. He has tons of seeds saved and I'm sure he would give me his library (or a sample of) however there's no names, just dates, so it would be a long and wild journey seeing what comes of those seeds but I bet you'd find some really interesting old school strains and flavors.
