depends on size. You can keep her going with as little as a couple of floro grow lights and a single fixture.(like 40$) This also uses next to nothing for power.
I use the normal compact fluoros that replace incandescent bulbs for my mothers. I keep about 20-30 watts of light per plant (I keep my mothers fairly small); when I know I'm going to need to take cuts, I'll add more lights a week or so ahead.
Compact fluoros come in wattages from about 13 watts to 30 watts. For mothers, you want daylight or sunlight spectrum (6500K), not warm or soft spectrum.
would a couple of these new bulbs say the equivalent of 100watts on each side help, the ones with the built in ballasts that way I'm not putting out an additional 50-60 bucks and difficulty aligning everything?
