yeah i agree this sort of thing is not normally appropriate but i think the distinction is made when you undermine the future of the society through the sexual abuse of minors...in this case i think the four months or whatever that she is going to serve is fair; it demonstrates that such an act is not to be encouraged but recognizes that there were mitigating circumstances to be considered. how often do we see the news story about the woman who has a restraining order and still gets capped by some weirdo ex or something?

She did what any mother should do, protect their children. A good mother will do anything in her power to protect her children, no matter what.

Any man who'd take a woman by force should just shoot himself, so that way no one else can be held accountable for his death. I read far too many accounts of murderers and rapists getting reduced sentences and being paroled after 4-6 years of prison. Personally, I have no issue with the woman providing the justice the our mockery of a legal system failed to offer her daughter. She doesn't deserve a medal, just the peace of mind that she fulfilled her duty as a parent...

while it sounds like they got the right guy for sure we cant have people running around killing each other because of what their kids say. Im in no way shape or form defending scumbag rapists but kids say the darndest things sometimes. If he were tryed and convicted for life w/o parole and got ****ed in the ass I think that would have been a much better punishment that a quick death.

In these instances where assault on a woman, or rape, etc. The legal system does not work all that well.

I know a girl who went out with a guy for 3 weeks, he was very manipulative. She had caught him in a lie and called him out on it. He was walking behind her at the time and pushed her down a fire escape. She was hurt, he picked her up and took her back into his apartment where he got a knife, I believe he was going to finish the job. Since she would most likely call the cops, and he knew he was ****ed. Neighbors heard the commotion and called the cops, while knocking on the door which happen to be open.

Police came, and told her this guy has assaulted all of his 5 past gf's, and been charged. He was charged yet again, he really got nothing in court, aside from an order to keep a certain distance away. He would show up where she was, and keep his distance, laughing and taunting her. Police in court were disgusted with how lightly he got off. They felt as if their hands were tied, they also said it will honestly take him killing someone for anything to happen to him, jail etc.

That's how the legal system works, police are not here to prevent, they are here to figure out what happened after the fact. Someone threatens your life, and they get a minor charge. LEO's have to wait for him to actually kill you in order to actually do something. They're here to sweep up the mess, after the fact. LEO's know this too, it does bother them a lot.

In nature like one of you guys said, there are natural laws. As people we forget about out instinct at times, but also combat it with people laws.

In this situation, I think everyone can agree in a natural setting, this is what happens. Eye for an eye, etc.

Especially when your talking about a mother or father protecting thier children.

This was pure instinct and reaction, probably what almost any parent would do aside from those who are molesting their own ofcourse, without rationally thinking about the consequences of their actions (laws and penalties).

However if you look even in the prison system, where animal instincts are there full force, Rapists, Child Molesters/Killers are all sought out to be killed for justice even other criminals consider to be too weak.

I would have shot him in each elbow, then both knees then had my way with him using a ball bat. Shortly after I got done with the taunting and as I walked off, the last shot would have been in his johnson. With any luck at all, I would have hit a major artery so he could lay there and feel his life drain from his body. I have a very close relative that was raped 3 years ago. The guy is still out there. My relative won't leave her house without a group.
So I applaud this mom. I support her 1000%.
