mother plant question

For some reason i cant post a pic on here (im forum challenged)...so ill do my best to describe my question...ive started a mother/clone cabinet about a month ago with some feminized seeds.... Ak47....white widow...jack herer...and an unknown purple strain of something i dont know....the cab is powered by two shop lights and plants are grown hempy style....the idea here is to have enough clones for my flowering area and also for springtime outdoor activities ...the problem im having is the grow is really starting to fill up the space so about a week and a half ago i started LST training and the result has been much more side shoot development but because of fan leaves im missing out on the benefit of being able to provide more light to these new shoots.....so im wondering if removing fan leaves off my mothers can be done without issue or is there another option?? Oh i think i got the pic attached too...yay me!!

chronichydro,

Your plants look quite healthy. Removing some fan leaves won't hurt them. I've used shop lights to veg, the 6500k tubes made the haze cuttings grow short and bushy. If you back the light off a bit the plants will likely stretch some, might make better mother plants.
Best of luck, welcome to ICMAG.

Thanks for the welcome adze and your right the white widows are short and thick just like your saying Ya thats another issue is my space is limited...was hoping i could just keep cutting back and tying down..then i figured if they got too thick id start with new clones again and keep going...im gonna be putting cuts into a cheapo aerocloner thingy and im using those neoprene foam plugs to support them so i dont really need long cuts but it would certainly help my clutzy fat hands while im fumbling around in there to have more room but i gotta suffer with what i can....
