Posting this up here for posterity and for growers to verify this cut. Info and pictures from the original Clone only that's been in my family since she was found 35+yrs ago. There had been alot of remakes of her. First by THSeeds, and more recently Dirty Water Organics. Most don't do the original cut any justice. Closest work I've seen to the original was by Professor Frink.

I wouldn't say that it's no good as I'm sure that there is something special to be found. But I've personally run 3 packs of the THSeeds version and didn't find anything that remotely resembles the original cut..they outcrossed to a kush when they worked it for some reason.. the THSeeds version is dominated by Kush expressions.. MOB is easily over powered in alot of crosses which is why I never completely understood their logic. The route I'm going is outcrossing to a Blueberry F9 Male, then hunting a suitable male from that progeny and backcrossing it to the MOB, and then from there it will either be another backcross, an outcross or working from there onto F2's. The THSeeds thing appears as more of a money grab on the MOB storied history itself. @jahshaka

MOB is the result of an outdoor run. Among the strains being grown was DJ's relatively early BB work. A male had been missed during the cull and subsequently wasn't found until it first started dropping pollen. Quite a few of the females were Seeded. Among them was Freezeland (Friesland x Pluton)... The following year they popped some of that seed and out of about 40 females they got, one outlier and standout was what ended up becoming what we all know as Mother of Berries. Don't know why they chose to run the Freezeland that got hit as they had a few other strains that got pollinated as well... my guess has always been compatibility of terpene profiles... maybe they saw potential in structure or morphology from the Freezeland. That cut was held till almost 1995 before that cut even left the original group of growers

I smoked this strain in Amsterdam around 2002. I whitied, like completely lost vision and had to lay on the floor. Although I was only 17 I was already a seasoned smoker and have never experienced this before or since. The kind coffee shop owner didn't judge me, he brought me a cold can of coke! I also remember it being very tasty. I would love to try it again one day. Where about in the world is this clone?

Who is claiming to be the "creator" of the Mother of Berries? I'm only asking because it was an accidental pollination of an outdoor crop due to a male Blueberry flying under the radar... and there's only 3 people still alive who were a part of that outdoor grow, one of which being my uncle and none of these guys are on Social Media??

I know it doesn't matter to most folks nowadays, but proper provenance is extremely important

@nick11 in house has mother of cherries, which isn't pure, but you can definitely find a MOB pheno in there. Thseeds are definitely using the real MOB clone, they got it from my boys in ME. Same way they got my darkstar, from the same folks. High rise doesn't make mob seeds, or any seeds anymore from the look of it.

I made s1s and several crosses with the mob clone stoney sent me. I plan to run some mob x banana og soon to find a dumper for outdoors.
