I have a family of deer enjoying my rose-bushes.
Which is good, they needed trimming anyway !
I was running the camera when the 2 babies had their heads tucked under her belly, getting their milk.
The one pic here shows the mom limping in front of my outdoor kiln, with one baby in the background.
I'm hoping they found refuge in one of my side yards.
They have lots of water & food in my yard, and are partially protected from the mountain lions, because the big cats avoid human areas most of the time.
I estimate & am hoping that the mother deer lasts 2 months.
Seems like a Tragedy - and it is for that family.
But it is natural, and there are 2 babies to take the mother's place when the inevitable happens.
