Most solid Haze genetics??

G

Guest

Just wondering where the best Haze genetics are at, at this point in time??

I realize that 'PURE' Haze (old school) isnt what it once was, mainly due to mass-inbreeding over time (as I have read!). Im told the best Haze's currently available are hybrids. What I am looking for is the best, CLOSEST-TO-OLD-SCHOOL-HAZE available right now. My biggest priority is QUALITY!!

I was thinking of checking out either Sam the Skunkman's varieties or Shantibaba's.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again guys
:respect:

I guarantee the best haze to be found at the moment is from our friend shantibaba in his Mango Haze. Its the sister to the Super Silver Haze. peace DLB

If you can find some lambs bread go with that, i think its a jamacan haze(in any case its some spicy potent euphoric sativa). Otherwise probably silver haze, and ive herd great things about metal haze too. Neveils haze is suposed to be close to the orginal, long flower and all, probably the closest.

Btw ive never tried mango or heard of mango haze, but it could be the next big thing

If you want old school haze, The Flying Dutchman's Original Haze is what you want. Tom Hill's haze is supposed to be good too.

Glock23 - Did you find keepers within a single pack of TFD Ohaze and T.H's haze also. The only reason I ask is that the original poster stated "Solid" and after following a few of CBF's threads and a few chats with him I would say it takes a bit of searching to find that "Keeper". I know he ran T.H's Haze, but not absolutely sure on TFD's.

daemacho99 - Can you re-write that address and just put spaces inbetween the letters of the censored word.

Censored words, especially within a link, are weak.

My choice for a good haze would be Super Silver Haze, or one of Shanti's limited releases with Haze in it.

Peace

I haven't run either, but I hear TFDs is quite stable. I had a chance to talk with them in Amsterdam last year. They definitely know what they're doing and they LOVE cannabis. I'd love to try out their haze, but I have so many seeds to get thru first..

Cool, thanks for the qick response. I will look into TFD's. I don't doubt their love, or knowledge. It is just my understanding that it's hard to "find" a good representation of a haze via seed.

But that isn't goin' to stop me from lookin for it...lol.

Peace

This is what TomHill said almost 4 years ago:

"Most of the "Thai" i´ve tried in the last ten years or so was just kinda okay, not saying the goods aren´t out there, just that i haven´t been able to locate it,& i´ve turned over a few stones lookin. The closest i´ve come are selected phenos of the original haze from positronics.I´ve always thought that their haze was very heavy in thai genes, due mostly to a characteristic thai smell/flavor in a high percentage of them (+/-75%),a smell i remember from some excellent thai that some friends used to grow long ago.Although most of the reports say "mostly colombian/mexican & less south indian/thai",there´s a seemingly informed report by "Robert Clarke"(i wonder) that seems to go along with my guess of heavy in thai genes.
I bet if you grew out a few packets of the Original Haze from the Flying Dutchmen, you´d find what you´re looking for"
:D

A gentleman to recommend someone else's lineage, but Tom doesn't have such bad great himself (from what I've heard).

Sorry but I've only had one experience with a pure haze and that was TFD's Original. Uhh...not for the newbie grower is what I can tell ya? She is a little confusing for the newbie (some phenos like more nutes than others, some like almost none, adjusting the watering schedule, etc) but other than that she produces well, even for her height and believe me she is not for the stealth grower. Class A smoke too, unforgettable in every aspect, particularly the extreme high. Of course I was wishing for the purple pheno LOL, but I think I'd have to grow commercially (which I will not and do not) to find something that rare, not knowing that at the time. I only started smoking about 7 years ago so I'm no old-schooler (though my methods are :)), but the smoke from O.H. is as hazy as hazy gets. Like I said I don't know the taste of the haze from the 70s but this stuff was hazy as I know it. This is probably the closest thing that you're going to find to old school Haze genetics all the while having a decently stable plant as well. I can not agree with the people that you told you haze is not what it once was, OH is very pure and it shines through in every aspect of the plant. I highly recommend TFDs as that is what I have had experience with, though I'm sure there are other great haze genetics out there. After all, it is the base of many of the wonderful sativas we have today.

Edit: I forgot to mention my experiences with others...LOL. Super Silver Haze. I forget what breeder but things did not go quite so well. This is probably due most in part to me being a newbie, but the germ rates were average from what I remember (about 50/50) and I ended up keeping one female who yielded a modest amount of very tasty, very potent smoke. I'll have to check my notes and see which breeder it was. However I believe that there are definitely good SSH genetics out there because I have seen them in other people's plants and they have done much better than my tragedy. All ended in good smoke though, so not all is lost.

Kali Mist. Again for the life of me I can't remember the damned name of the seedbank and I'll have to look back at my notes. Anyways, I've seen bad reports on this strain but honestly it is probably one of my favorite sativas out there as far as raising and smoking are concerned. She stretched alot but that is easy to keep under control. Liked lots of nutes. I planted 5, got 3 females, one hermied and kept two beautiful ladies. Not bad. They both turned out wonderfully. I repeated this same pattern the following year except kept one male and x female (landrace Mexican) and kept the seeds :) Can't wait

I need more experiences with hazes, they are such wonderful plants.

Tried to post an outside link to this GREAT smoke report for Shanti's NH earlier (Gawd - wish my old lady had some of this gal's pot lovin' qualities...lol!). Enjoy

By....... hetfieldrules

My Neville's Haze was grown organically outdoors in South Florida USA. It was harvested December 5th, 6th, and 7th and has been drying and curing ever since.
I broke it open last night.

The weed smells like pepper. While it was drying the house smelt very strongly of pepper- not a hot irritating smell but more like a fragrant pepper flower. Buds are very sticky- you could wad up a handful and they would stay molded in the shape of your hand.

One bongload, three people- the taste was very smoothe, yet still reminds me of white pepper- or cardamom. There is a very pungent undertaste of some other spice that tastes so familiar yet I can't identify it- I'll keep trying

Anyway- about 3 hits each, and we're babbling. Chatter, chatter- typical of the three of us together, music DVD playing- just another evening at home with the Hound family.

Then I noticed I could not understand what my friend was saying- she was talking but no sound was reaching my ears.
I had to ask her "what?" a couple of times before I realized that I could not understand spoken English. The only way I could understand her speech was to concentrate very closely on reading her lips. I could hear and understand the words in the music with no problem, but not real human speech.

That was a first for me... I could not coordinate all the physical processes at one time. I had to remember to first manually turn my head in her direction, then consciously move my eyes to her lips, and then try to catch each word as it came out. They came out so fast I could not "see" each one individually- it was like alphabet soup.
She was trying to ask me if the weed was laced (no- just excellent), but had as much trouble speaking the words as I did following them.

I also felt a bit of a blood pressure spike, and some eye stress type visualization effects towards the edges of my peripheral vision. We had a great giggle fest- side splitting laughter like you remember from the old days, for no particular reason.

We were capable of doing things- aside from the difficulty with my head motor skills seemed relatively unaffected. We fired up the grill and turned out some mighty tasty salmon without burning the house down, and the kitchen is still standing this morning. I do remember that each of us felt compelled to check the grill about 10 times to make sure we turned the propane off... safety first!

After dinner I rolled a couple of joints, handed each of us the end of a leash, and we went dog walking- we walk and smoke...

It was simply the most beautiful evening I have ever spent- a full moon, a blue bazillion lumens of lights and sparkles and just absolute beauty! Cold crisp air like we rarely get down here- stars.. good lord it was awesome!! My husband, my best friend, and my dogs.... a righteous good time.
Eventually my friend has to go home- the husband and I head home for some calming indica, some chocolate, a comforter and a good snuggle sitting around the chimnea on the patio. An excellent evening all the way around.

I didn't have extreme munchies at all (but I rarely do), no body stone to speak of, I slept really well, and no weed hangover this morning.

Not your typical everyday "relaxation weed" but great for socializing with some carefully selected friends.

Yes- I recommend it!

Thank You Shanti for this great accomplishment- easily the best smoke I have ever had!!

These are the kind of Haze genetics I sure want in my (outdoor) garden.
