Most efficient method of lighting?

I plan on running a 3000 watt light setup. I will have six 400 watt HPS lights and a single 600 watt HPS light. I will be running a series of non recirculating DWC buckets. They will look just like the ones from my previous grow:

How should I arrange my lights so I am get optimum lighting throughout the crop? I will obviously need to get to all of the buckets to check nutes etc...so I can't have them all bunched together as I will need to walk in between them and I don't want to have to move them every time. What about hanging the bulbs with no reflector? Should I stagger the buckets? Should I just have them all in a line? Should I do less plants and use some lights for side lighting? I plan on having 2 plants in each 10 gallon resevoir as I will be growing small trees. I'm not sure how many resevoirs I will have. How many should I have for what I have to work with as far as lighting is concerned? I'm going for maximum yeild here. Feel free to draw some diagrams! : ) Let me know what I should do! Thanks in advance! IC Mag 4 Life!
