Hi,

I popped a couple of Grapefruit Fly sometime ago, initially under a T5, then under a LED, on a 18/6 schedule.

After a couple of weeks, they started to flower, and they continue to flower, despite being on 18/6. There are 2 other strains in the same room, and they're just vegging. The Grapefruit Flies are not root bound, and I can't think what else might have triggered them to flower, and continue to do so

Of the ones that flowered was a male, which I took out, and after a couple of days under natural light (Northern Latitude, days are still becoming longer) went back to veg.

Has anyone else seen this with this strain? Or any other strain?

Thanks,

B

I think i remember reading that Chimera Grapefruit x BB autoflowers if it gets even a little rootbound.

I'm pretty sure it was GF x BB, which i think the autoflowering genes come from Sweet Pink Grapefruit.

Not all plants, but a decent percentage, IIRC.

Thank you Deep State,

If I remember correctly, Mosca's GF Fly is Chimera's GF x C99.

Root bound might have been a thing, as they where stated in the small peat pots with some soil, for a couple of weeks, before being moved to a bigger container. I have the impression that when these peat pots are not kept moist, they're actually a barrier to the roots.

Definitively something to watch out for.
