I'm going to Montreal in a few days and I want to know the truth about this city's mj tolerance. I have a ton of questions actualy.

I don't know anybody in Montreal. If I must buy on the street, where do I go? Do dealers solicit? How much French must I know to buy an 8th? How much will an 8th cost me in Candian dollars?

Can one get away with smoking mj in any of the major parks or on Mount Royal?

Aside from the mj, do parks in Montreal have grill pits or grill stands in the same way that some parks in the USA do? Can you bring dispoable grills to any of the public spaces and grill something you purchased at the market?

Anyone know about the blues music scene? I know the jazz is good but I am a blues guy myself.

Been awhile since I was there..but check the scene on Rue St. Denis. Remember it being a lively area. Its a tolerant city..just be smart. Have a blast. Sure others will chime in..

If you had any sort of documented medical need you could visit a compassion club. But the prices may be higher than on the street and I'm not sure any are still open after some recent compassion club busts.

Yes, you can smoke MJ in just about any park; just don't be doing silly things like blowing smoke at cops, etc. Personally I'm always discreet and restrict smoking to at least 40-50 ft away from other people, but I'm "paranoid" that way, LOL.

Technically it is a Criminal Code offense, so technically anyone could citizen's arrest a smoker, but it never happens and the cops would just laugh I'd bet.

There may be parks in Montreal with grill pits, I dunno, but I've seen a few locally and I'm a few hours from Montreal. There may not be any grill friendly parks in the central areas, but if discreet one might get away with it in a larger area.

English works fine with over 90% of the population there and 99% of customer service people.

It's a friendly city. Don't hesitate to ask people for directions or whatever. Have fun !
