Mom needs help with feeding

Hey all, i may have mentioned this in another thread. My mom is growing 6 100gal in happy frog. They went in on June 7th, so i'm guessing next week or 2 she needs to give some kind of nutes? I'm indoors hydro and looking for some advise to give her.

I was going to have her use some maxibloom half strength a couple times for the next month and then have her cut it off the 2nd week of September. Reason i chose maxi is it's one part, newbie proof if you will. I have used this for my whole run indoors with pretty good results. If anybody wants to share some advice or ideas i'd appreciate the feedback. Thanks!

Maxi bloom will work fine. It's like miracle grow for cannabis. I personally am very fond of Age Old Organics grow and bloom formulas. A quart runs about 15$ and a gallon is about 40-45$ but you might be able to get a deal somewhere, idk. They are, as the name implies, actually organic. There products are derived from fish meal and kelp and feather meal etc etc. The grow formula has some micro nutrients in it too but doesn't have calcium or magnesium in it though. The bloom may have magnesium but I haven't got my hands on it yet so I don't know. I would expect the bloom formula would have magnesium, if not though its easy to remedy with a tsp or 2 of Epsom salt dissolved in a gallon of water or by buying a cal mag supplement but that's a little more expensive than Epsom salt. I am personally using soil mixed with chicken manure to start my soil out (the manure comes with eggshell crushed in it for calcium), then I used earth juice micro blast at the recommended rate to get rid of any micro nutrient deficiencies and I add about 1 tablespoon of black strap molasses per gallon to feed the microbes in the soil, then the age old grow formula at 1 tbl spoon per gallon of water once a week to keep everything fed. I mix my nutrients in a clean rubbermade trash can and pump it out with a little pond pump. A 30 gallon trash can should work fine for 6 plants. I give them all of those fertilizers or supplements once a week. I would switch to a bloom formula in about 2 to 3 weeks. Earth Juice has blackstrap molasses for plants at 15$ a gallon.

I appreciate the info.... trying to make it just a one part add mix and feed. Mom's is a older gal...65 and needs to be abc... So i know maxi is a great one part. I wanted to get her to bubble a nice tea, but she gets too intimidated by that.

Then just go buy some an organic all in one solid fertilizer and mix it into the soil real good. Then all she has to do is water with tap water the plants will grow. After all watering with tap water is basically what old ladies think gardening is. She will be so impressed with "her" work at the end of the season she will be beaming with pride:biggrin: A lot of people on this site recommend Espoma brand. It is sounds good. I use Down to Earth brand my self and it is also good. There are a few pre-mixed multipurpose formulas they sell with different ratios, all derived from awesome stuff like kelp, fish bone meal, guano, etc, etc.
