I'm experiencing some mold growth on my uncracked Sensi Hindu Kush and Durga Mata seeds. They're sitting in nice, moist soilless mix. They're older seeds, and hence they're taking quite a while to germ. I've tried watering with a very dilute hydrogen peroxide solution, and I wiped off the mold twice in the last few days. At one point, there was a little saliva-looking gunk coming off the seeds. Are these seeds done for?
I planted two Durga Matas; one germed, the other hasn't as of yet. 3/3 Hindu Kushes are still taking forever. Prior to this batch, it took me 5 Hindu Kush seeds to get one plant, and it took about 10 days to crack! I killed one by squeezing it to see if anything was going on inside. The other ones either never did anything at all or turned to digusting, stinky mush inside...
I figured I'd use more H2O2 and microwave the soil before my next batch of seeds. Anyone else have any suggestions on how to keep the mold at bay? Will my existing seeds still germ, even with the mold on the outside (I wiped it off)?
