moldy re-veg

whats up everyone? doing well i hope..this girl isn't lol. i'm trying to re-veg this haze plant and upon inspecting it this morning i found mold growing from where i cut the main stem. is this a death sentence? i could cut away another node under the mold growth and it would LOOK back to green. here is a picture, any help is appreciated!

That doesn't look like botrytis (the evil grey mold) maybe just clean it up with some alcohol, and keep a close eye on it

THis happens when the plant tissue is exposed to warmer temps and humidity, when you cut a stem to top it, lower on the plant there is a lot more fluid and the plant will continue to seep out after a cut, that should always be wiped away, otherwise it's like food sitting out in the open, it's got water and nutrients that come out which contributes to the mold.
You using organics?

I would just use a little h202 on it and later wipe it away.

makes perfect sense. i put it in a mini greenhouse with a bunch of seedlings on 24hours light and next thing i know this mold is popping up. bad move on my part i suppose ha :bashhead: lesson learned. yes, i use organics. i repotted into promix with some ewc and a little guano. thanks for the help :wave:

Organics are going to tend to mold before chemical ferts will due to them being "organic".
Yes, like I said the humidity and warm temps will do it :)

SO ya, just add some h202 to it and problem solved.

If you did not put them there as a joke, your plants are subjected to very high humidity and warm temps a little too long!

Your soil must have a lot of organic matter in it...... looks like they got that soil from somewhere in a forrest :)
