molding nutes

ok so last week my nutes molded on me, it was 15ml of pbp and tps of grandmas molasses in a gallon of distilled water they were sitting in the same closet as my plant, there was also another gallon of distilled water in the same room but it only had a tps of molasses in it no pbp. has this happened to anyone before? if so what do u think caused it?

the shity part is i had someone else watering my plant for me at the time and they water my plant with the moldy nutes and got it all over the bottom foliage of my plant and it dried up, so i had to peel off the dried crap on there along with completly flushing my soil. how much of an effect will this have on my plant?

I have never had them go moldy, but you should never mix up solution and just leave it sitting around, especially under the lights

The mix will go hot over time. To fix that problem I bought a pump and airstone that I run 24 hrs in a 30 gallon pail, that I keep water in. I mix up 30 gals worth, and it will stay fresh for a good week or two

even in soil, if you have the 30 gal. bucket with the water in it get the pump and stone and leave your water always bubbling in there that way it stays oxegynized and does not go stagnant on ya. i think thats what dr.dog is talkin about i know he will correct me if im wrong because we wanna help eachother and bro the last thing i would wanna do is give you some bad info,im lookin for a 30 gallon containor right now so i can do the same thing myself i carry 5 gal buckets 1 at a time to my garden and bro when i got some watering to do believe me it sux!two rooms its like every other day.if a 30 is too much you could always pick the rubbermaid that fits your needs and use that.hope i could help,peace-Y-

thanks for the help YwouldntI, thats what my next goal is to get a rubbermaid rockwool setup so i dont have to worry about nutes and watering because the house were i grow im onlt at on weekends

yea but im growing in soil

I grow in soil too, well not complete soil, I have other stuff in it. But the process is simple, I keep a fresh res in the corner. That way I am not making 20 trips to the sink to fill jugs,
I just dip them in and I have a premix solution for whatever stage I am at.

Right now I just have water and molasess. But keeps everything well mixed, and will not go stale.

You do not want to keep your nutes exposed to uv light and oxygen. They will start to go bad (hot) and will do your plants no good.

My set up cost me like 20 bucks and one trip to walmart

30 gallon waste pail was like 7 dollars with lid
airstone pump starter kit was less than ten. Then i bought soem extra tubing, i was not sure where i was going to put it
