Mold problems

Well the budding weather this year has been... once again a gaint load of BS. Raining almost every night with high day time humidity. Ive had to pull nearly half of the crop early because of a giant piece of rotten moldy bud in the cola. theres really not a whole lot i can do for it when the weather has been constantly rainy leading to buds being constantly soggy. :badday: :badday:

I can understand you man.....

I've loose +30% of my harvest due to mold!
very humid spot and season generally!
I'm searching for a REAL mold resistant strain! HH that is labelled like a very mold resistant strain, isn't for real!
ALL my plants was infected!

i chopped a plant due to mold too. i'll make hash with it when my bubbleator gets here. guess we just have to make the best of it. my others that are higher up are fine though...except for one tiny popcorn bud i pulled off...i'm watching them very closely...and if i have to harvest early...i will. yeah this outdoor stuff sure is different than the inside controlled environment...not sure its my cup of tea...i'm a bit of a control freak.
may the sun be with you all!!!

Same season in the Midwest. Rain, Rain, Rain.

My Shaman finished on or around Sept 1st and I still had huge mold problems. I used some 3 in 1 and it works but how many times can you tend to them. It finally got me good. I go through all of it and keep what I can. I plan on making hash also.

I will say that my Endless Sky started budding much later and there fore has not been hit much by the mold YET or is a mold resistant strain. I have a couple more weeks of nervously waiting.

I learned the hard way to keep the plant trimmed well get rid of anything underneath or anything that will be popcorn at it s best. Not worth the chance. Keep the vegetation around it down. This has helped a lot since I started it. Also tying it down is a No NO in this type of weather.

Keep in mind, everyone, that just because a strain is resistant to mold, does not mean it can't get mold. It may have less susceptibility to mold, but with the right kind of weather, you could still get moldy buds.

Disease Triangle--suitable environment+pathogen+susceptible host=disease

Bud worms can cause mold too. They set up camp in your flowers and shit all over the place....then comes the mold.

also remember many strains listed as "mold resistant" mean they are mold resistant in amsterdam. its cold and wet there.

I don't know where you live but where I am I haven't put on a long sleeved shirt in about 2yrs now (global warming I guess?) we don't have cold wet problems we have hot wet humid problems. two different animals your talking about there.

try mandala. he says its humidity n heat resistant strains.

but bottom line. its hard enough for humidity and dew not to mold your buds. when they get downpoured on they'll soak up water like a sponge. all the little nooks and crannys in the buds just hold the water.

it's real!

i've little pieces of shit in some buds and on the leafs ( don't know what kind of insect is)...

But it was enough to get mold on a limitated number of buds!!

well.. tthere might be different causes for the mold as pipelne says..
i usually have no mold till the plants fall on the ground... if it rains for more than 5 days straight and they keep touching each other and touching the ground.. than i get moldy stuff indeed.

good luck guys
