can i ask you one more question about the yellowing of my leaves? they are yellowing from the bottom to the top they are yellow all the way thru. i was already told on this sight that it is just the plant sucking up the nutrients, but i see you are a moderator and was hoping for some input. i water everyday, i chem twice a week with florabloom floramicro. kool bloom. they are general hydroponics brand. and i am growing outside. again thank you for taking the time to help me.

how many mls of micro/bloom are you doing per gallon

also on the molasses, it is THE BEST in my opinion above any other booster just don't overdo it.

Yellowing from the bottom up means you need more of that bloom but if you have kool bloom each week that should have supplimented enough unless you are watering with a light mix OR if you don't have your ph in check you could have locked out the nutes.

Do you do a feed feed water feed or feed water feed schedule?

How much drainage do you allow to come out the bottom of the pots? too much and you are pretty much fast flushing your plants versus feeding them.

i feed on tuesday and friday and water the rest or as needed. its been really hot in my area for the last month. high 90s low 100s. i use 4ml of flora micro 8 mil of flora bloom and 2.5 mls of the kool bloom. i am following a measurement schedule that i was giving at the grow place i bought my nutrients at. the only thing i am not useing is the 1ml of floralicious plus as it is only for smell. and all measurements are per gallon of water.

your plants need more food there hungry yellowing or any def or plant symptom work like this if you got a macro def its starts from the bottom and slowly works it way up if plant has a micro def it starts on upper portion of plant you here its normal for plant leafs to turn yellow the key is trying to keep it green till harvest yellowing is caused by a few things first off over watering , second not enough food given to plants , 3rd is ph issues causing locking out of one or a few key nutrients

here is a copy and paste of something i found
One thing i for sure know is molasses does help beneficial organisms. How? It helps by giving energy (food) to microbes so they can do their job. Which is converting unusable materials in soil or medium into available material (food) for plants. Theses benies let out enzymes which further help break-down organic material. Those enzymes are an important factor in Hormone production etc. All this controls secondary metabolism in plants. As quoted in wikipidia,
Secondary metabolites are organic compounds that are not directly involved in the normal growth, development, or reproduction of organisms.[1] Unlike primary metabolites, absence of secondary metabolites does not result in immediate death, but rather in long-term impairment of the organism's survivability, fecundity, or aesthetics, or perhaps in no significant change at all.
..this means if you want a mediocre plant go ahead and just think of one aspect of whats going on. You want to add molasses to your mix, thats cool and of course people swear by it. But thats not the end of the story and Producers of fertilizers know this and thats why they make shit like Bud candy.

So, is molasses or Bud Candy better or what? Its a personal choice i feel. Hasn't ANYONE given me direct links or full explanations on how Molasses is supposed to be the shit. Bud Candy explained a little better then anything Ive heard so far, and on top of that when i went to go verify the info on their product information (basically checking the label and cross checking what they say to other sources on net...google) it coincided. I'm not sayin use Bud Candy or Molasses (i actually do use Molasses though sulfured/not non sulfured because sulfur is shown to help Thiol (skunk smell) production:terpene but thats another post.), I am sayin Bud Candy, and the likes definitely have Secondary Metabolism builders. What about Molasses??

So my conclusion on molasses ??? is it will help for any minor defiencies as it has lots of of minerals etc will it make buds taste better not, should you use molasses in organic soil, well it is to feed micro organisms but again most organic soil doesn't need it with millions of microbes and most growers only growing max 150 days in or outside when chop day does happen the microbes will be still striving with out any help

thank you DrFever for taking the time to answer. i have decide on the molasses as itis cheaper. plus i have been told it works just as well

Sounds like you have NP or K def going on. Feed them more. Molasses contains Ca, Mg, K and a bit of Iron. Make sure you buy unsulphured (sp) blackstrap mollasses. Check the labels as the quantities of good stuff can vary greatly from brand to brand.

Nope.

You need to find something that works for the plant's profile, and molasses isn't engineered to work with MMJ. Bud Candy is. After all, unless I missed a memo, molasses isn't designed by fancy corporations.

I trust the bottles that had research behind them.

LMAO HAHAHAHA so why are you apart of a cannabis plant forum and not a percocet pill forum backed by the federal drug association. you are saying get the sythetic stuff over the healthy stuff because its backed by a bunch of labcoats? yes, yes you are. glad to see you got your smrt test results in

Hey dude, where do you think hydro companies got the idea to use something like molasses? Its cause people have been using molasses forever and the shit obviosuly does something to the plants.
Perhaps you should go with experience over marketing BS? Have you used molasses yet? If not I would think you could atleast leave a disclaimer(like I dont know what the fuck Im talking about, but...) I do it all the time to make sure nobody believes anything I say.
Peace

I believe this thread is about carbs
Yo Tribal not to many hydroponic growers will add molasses into the rez not only does it become a problem plugged areas , but also it can bring in unwanted guests
Molasses has bin in the horticulture end for many years OUT DOOR adding molasses into compost bins etc
But really what does molasses really do for SOIL GROWERS
first thing is molasses is a amendment ( Food ) for organically grown soils and there micro herd.
Molasses carrys a number of irons and minerals as well as carbs,How many carbs are in molasses? 74.73% of carbs in molasses.
so not only does molasses help with the micro herd it helps plant with these irons and minerals which in time start to lack of this is why so many growers that use molasses needs to know that it also helps for any def that occur in all stages of flower

Sugar (serving size)
Carbs (g)
Sugar (1 tsp)
5g
Sugar brown (1 tsp)
5g
Molasses, blackstrap (1 tbsp)
17g
Honey (1 tbsp)
19g
Syrup (1 tbsp)
20g
Fructose (1 tbsp)
25g
Chocolate syrup (1 tbsp)
11g

hmmmmm i am wondering if you fed a plant molasses how would it grow

It doesnt sound like the OP is growing hydro since he asked how many times a week you add molasses. I would never recommend anyone put molasses in their res.

should i trim the yellow ones off or try to save them? sorry to bombard you with the questions

it is always best to allow the plants to lose their leaves on their own. They actually heal the wound and drop them VERSUS you cutting and leaving open wounds.

With open wounds it can spark powdery mildew or other potential health risks for your plants.

Just remember that yellowed leaves only bug YOU, the plant will use its resources up in the leaf and then drop it.

One thing you need to do is once the leaves do fall, keep it clean as that too COULD cause issues. Now some growers leave the leaf material and consider it a mulching option BUT that depends on the bug issues you have or did have before as well as how wet your media is.
