Mobile home growing?

Hey guys, I am thinking of getting a mobile home and gowing out of that. Dedicating one large room to the grow. My main concerns are heat dissipation. How will I get rid of all of the heat from multiple 400 and 600 watt HPS lamps? I know it gets really hot based off of my last closet grow. However in my closet I had the air exhausted through the cieling and out of the house after passing through the attic. Is it possible to cut a hole in my cieling at a mobile home and do the same thing? I really don't know seeing that I have hardly ever been in mobile homes. What are you alls ideas on getting rid of alot of heat? This is what I did in my closet in a house. It got rid of the heat wonderfully! How is a mobile homes cieling set up?! Is this same thing possible in a mobile home?

yeah on my previous grow i was able to cut a hole in my cieling but im not going to be able to this time around... its going to be interesting to see how we do this.... as for a mobile home, i wouldn't know exactly, but im sure you could do it some how i mean if you wanted to cut a hole in the cieling

Yea, I'm worried about the noise from the fan etc...Anyone else have any input? Please help me out as I am about to get this thing. Thanks!

Dump your exhaust through the floor...you're asking for water leaks when it rains if you go through the ceiling. If you're using an inline fan, I wouldn't worry about the fan noise.

Possibly one could "odor control" / "heat plume" vent out of ones existing "gas hot water heaters" exhaust Porthole in the roof.
Got an electric heater?, and no vent, not a problem, just install that gas heater roof vent system kit in an appropriate likely place on the structure.

I recommend those new fangled instant on demand tankless water heater to cover ones hot water household needs, they've gotten affordable recently if you shop around.
Electric, propane and natural gas models available...

Tankless Water Heater design means that water is heated instantly, but only for as long as the hot water is being used.
Conventional tank water heaters, on the other hand, heat water 24 hours a day, 365 days a year - and you pay for the energy it takes to keep the water hot.

Conventional heaters heat water up to 140° F in order to make the supply of hot water last. That's too hot for anyone to use, so cold water is added. What a waste of energy!
Tankless Water Heaters heat the water only to the temperature required for use, and you can control the temperature with the turn of a dial.

IMB :)

Wow, you got one of them there new mobile homes with an attic... never seen that before, lol. I wish the one I was working with last year had attics... they were old as dirt.

This is what I was thinking. I didn't think there were attics of any sort or any extra space up there. I figure I could dump it though the floor or rig up a fake A/C window machine and exhaust it through there. I just have to keep the noise at a minimum! If anyone has any...PLEASE give me some ideas! Thanks!

i like the idea of a custom grow room, but id be more worried about people seeing my mobile home and wanting to take a look.

just cut a hole wherever is conveniant. mobile homes are made to be light weight so they are easy to transport, and as a a result they are normally made from plastics and other reltivly weak materials. nothing a big saw cant fix.

You can definately make your way through the floor, just make sure you know how far between the drivetrain framing you are and cut holes accordingly. You can put huge holes in the floor, upto 14" easily... problem comes when floor isn't supported and you fall through. I got lucky and worked with a double layered floored trailer.

This is what I'm talking about! Someone who has done it! I don't know the differences in the types of trailers etc...do you happen to have any pics? What was the noise like on the outside with the fans blowing and all? What are the floorsgenerally made out of under the carpet/fake wood floors? Thanks!

If you use insulated ducting that will not only help your temps but reduce your noise .

i would either cut through the roof and put a "roof jack" (for those not familiar it's a little vent for exhausting through roofs) use some henry's roofing tar to seal it to the roof and vent out of that.. the fan would be inside the room of course.

or venting through the floor like chodo said is a excellent idea too. your only worry will be hittting the steel frame underneath (kinda like the frame of a car.. or a school bus more like)

i would be scared of a trailer because of the heat signature it might show through the roof. i know it's illegal for the pigs to use that FLIR bullshit, but i am still scared of it. insulate your ceiling if possible.

just my 2cents

I'm not really scared of FLIR. Adding a structure to the roof may be obvious...it don't want to do anything to the exterior for a number of reasons. I thought about just blowing it out of a window...possibly rigging up an exhaust and venting it through a gutted window A/C unit so it would look less conspicuous.

i used to hook up cable in trailers alot and basically they have plywood floors with steel beams. also alot of insulation underneath. i usually just found a corner and drilled a 1/2" hole ONLY 1"deep then poked a stick through and get under there to see ewhre it was. if no plumbing, electrical or other was in the way id go larger with the hole. jmo, im not a pro. i would definitely exhaust out floor and if i were you id go with a window unit to cover noise and cant hurt the plants either. even a small unit would disquise fan noise and help alot on temps, shit you could even make use of some co2 then:)

anyway i considered runnin a trailer grow once and was discouraged when i couldnt find any NOT in a trailer park, right next to other nosey ass people;)

Thanks for the input buddy. I sure don't know much about trailer homes. I appreciate everything from everyone. What I would really like is someone that has grown in a trailer...possibly show so pics and talk to me here? That would be fucking nice!

Thanks
