they always do what they want and let the judge settle it in court.
how would he know if you've got a couple plants or thousands? if it smells its probable cause in their eyes.
why in the fuck would you give them any info anyways? I'd just say that I didnt smell anything and if he didnt have a warrant he can GTFO your property.

USA - MMJ is state law, and feds can and do interfere.
Edit: Resulting in ppl still being busted and facing court battles, state vs. fed. ie) Might win, might not...

Here in Canada - MMAR is federal law, and it's "have a nice day" (after proving your count is correct)
Edit: Here, such a case would get dropped like a hot potato by the courts. (ie) as long as grow does not exceed the license in plant count, and you are not selling what you grow)
