MMJ and things like colleges and apartments?

Now I've been wondering for quite a while now during my lurking about MMJ patients and a few situations that are BIG NO-NO's generally in the growing game.

Things like growing in a place you don't own. What is the general thought on growing in an apartment, or duplex or something if you are a registered MMJ patient in your state? Because from what I've gathered the biggest part of this is that you don't have full control over who enters the house and things like that. But with a MMJ license, is SOME of this fear not alleviated - or is there something I am missing? :blowbubbles:

Also I'm curious about MMJ and college campuses. Since I (currently) live in a non-med state, and 100% of my friends are NOT involved in marijuana even for a fraction of what I am. Not to mention I don't think any of them would even qualify - so you know that means its not interesting, since we're young :moon: I know when I was at college, there were VERY strict rules on marijuana - even though it is decriminalized here in MA. Do colleges respect MMJ a bit more than they respect decrim?

I am getting to the point where my every day pain is making me depressed with things. I need to have safe access to the ONLY thing that has EVER alleviated my pain for extended amounts of time. I'm trying to find out if I have the means to do that currently, or if I have to soldier through another year or two and get more shit together.

to first answer you question about colleges. I know CU(boulder, co) was just in the news a couples months ago as they were having so many issues with people wanting to be able to medicate in their dorms. the policy at CU says freshmen must stay in dorm rooms for the 1st year of school unless they live at home with parents within so many miles (maybe 25?)
what they decided to do was help freshmen with med cards find off campus housing and problem solved!

as for the apartment, to each his own. i don't think the med laws in colorado say anything about disclosing with you landlord what you do with you home as long as its not illegal. basically it comes down to the wording of you contract, IMO because some contracts the wording is laid out in a way to say no activities that conflict with federal law. there are also the technicalities say you were to cut holes in the wall! most apartments or renters in general aren't going to be down with you doing construction worker but i think if your smart, play you cards right, it shouldn't be as issue but it probably will!
