Mixed flow fans and carbon filters

C

Cupid Stunt

Was recommended a mixed flow fan instead of my centri fan a few weeks ago..

I have read good and bad things about adding a CF to one of these...

I'm open to new ideas and am considering it but curious if anyone on here has any experience with this kind of set up..

Im not keen on burning cash on something that is marketing hype...

The idea of less noise is a big advantage but they are there to suck the odoue and my centri does fine... if i could get something that works similar with less noise then I would consider it.

anybody got some real world test with a mixed flow and CF>..

and thus is louder.i
got a 12" max fan and never used it...

Mixed flows are not that great for our application. They don't handle the static pressure very well and frankly they aren't much quieter than a centrifugal. I've used the S&P TD-125, 150, and 200 as well as a variety of 4", 6", and 8" centrifugals. The S&P's also don't work with the standard triac-based fan speed controllers.
