Mite problem - Need advice...

Heres the situation...

I noticed some mothers I have had mites on them. I tossed all the mother plants I had (I can get cuttings of the same stuff for new mothers) ...

I'm going to bomb the room tomorrow (no plants in it at all, just want to steralize it as much as I can) ... My question is, I have a tray full of rooted clones in Rapid Rooters I am about to put in my veg room. Whats the easiest/safest thing to do to them? I noticed a couple mites on 2 of the 16 clones so I pulled them out of the tray and got rid of them.

Would putting the clone tray in the room when I bomb the room take care of any mites that might have gone unnoticed? Or would that be bad for the clones?

I've heard stories of submerging the clones in water, neem spray, etc etc... I just want to be SURE I don't loose the rest of these clones, don't want to do something that might hurt'm... :)

Thanks!

Look for the most hottest chili pepers that you can find, The green or red ones,
Blend 5 or 6 Chillis with about 2 cups of water and then strain.
Spray this on the leaves for a few days and it will get rid of your mites.
Wear gloves when spraying because this solutin will burn your hands and watch out for your eyes.
It does no harm to the plant, leaves or buds and works very well.

if thats the case use habenaros peppers...they say they are the hottest pepper in the world...after i ate a whole one i agree, even the slightest bit of juice will burn the hell out of your mouth, and listen to ronley...i've itched my eyes hours after playing with peppers and they burned like never before!

best mite method i've used personally is predator mites.

Thanks.. Read that Mite Eradicator thread and I think I'll give that a shot tomorrow... One question though...

Do I spray the Rapid Rooter plug as well as the plant? (do they hide in there, or lay their eggs in there?)

Thanks again!

For non-flowering clones, Avid get's my vote.

T2U - try out a red savina habanero if you though standard habanero's were hot :D Make sure to wash your hands several times before going to the bathroom afterwords...

sorry, haven't ate a pepper since and never will, i'm permantly damaged from eating hot stuff now! i did it on a dare when i was like 14 and then they gave me a big glass of water and laughed at me, the water made it worse, after i ran around burning up i finally found some bread and cheese, then it went away, this black dude came over from philly claiming he eats the hottest stuff around in that town, he ate the same pepper as me, he acted tough for about 20 seconds then almost started crying and wanted us to bring him to the ER to get his stomach pumped....i'm not sure what kind of habenaros they were.

sorry for the off topic but think what they would do to a little mite lol

Stop tossing plants in the garbage. I would not have the clones in the room with the pesticide bomb. First defense against mites is water. Spray/rinse the undersides and tops of the leaves with water. You can do this in the shower. Also, safer's soap is a good thing to try and use to smother the mites. You may have to spray/rinse the plants weekly because new mite eggs hatch.

Avid Avid Avid. Only thing that works it the nuclear weapon of mass destruction for mites. Its better to end the problem.
