misting flowering leaves

compost

Lately I had a hermied mom who gave me clones that were dropping balls in flowering. I decided to increase how often and much I misted my plants to neutralize the pollen. What I have noticed on that batch and future batches is the extra misting on the plants(neem oil the first 2 weeks and then green cure till chop) seems to greatly increase the taste, density, weight, and potency of the bud.

I have floated around several reasons but wanted to get some opinion of those who are more experienced then myself. Currently I am growing chemical but saw similar results when it was mainly organic. I water every round with this recipe based on 10 gallons of water

1.20 teaspoon maxibloom
2.5ml drip clean
50ml's LK
60ml's hygrozyme.

My mix comes out to a PH of about 6.0 with tap water that has sat overnight to warm up during the winter, and straight out of the tap during the summer to help keep the root zone cool. My plants all get burnt tips but I generally run 10% run off per watering. During the 2nd half of flowering I lower the LK and increase the maxibloom for more of a kick. The first day I plain water the plants(about 10 days before chop) the plants all start leaning hard.

Misting your plants should do absolutely nothing for potency. That being said, maybe in your environment (i'm assuming arid), they needed some additional moisture which resulted in healthier plants and led to a better end product.

In my experience, anything that you can do in terms of maintaining an optimal environment or optimally meeting the nutritional needs of your plants results in a better end product.
