miraclegro and too much molybdenum may be bad

I took a trip to Walmart yesterday and looked at the new formula Miraclegro has started to use for their powder and I can no longer recommend it. They have added molybdenum and that stuff scares the living jebus out of me. My old gardening book says that more OR less than an ounce of it per acre will literally cause cows who graze there to fall down (and live no more because it makes them either stop breathing or paralyzed). So, I am afraid of it accumulating in the soil if it is used regularly on marijuana plants (or any plants meant for consumption).

both the veg formula and the bloom formula of MG have it in them. so does the veg formula for "Expert Gardener" but their bloom formula does not.

wow fox farm tiger bloom has extremely high amounts of molybdenum in there compared to a lot of others, there supposed to be organic too. and hundreds of people on here use that stuff. not that im sure itl transfer to the finished product, but if it kills cows like that damn.

Tiger Bloom isn't organic, it's "organic based." There is a huge difference between the two. I've stopped using Fox Farm for their nutrients, but still use their soil (which is all organic).

And Miracle Grow is far from organic. A better product-line alternative is Bio-Bizz or MetaNaturals, which both have a 100% organic product for both veg and flower.

lol obviously i know that. i have a bottle thats sitting 5ft away from me. used it once and its crap. makes pretty looking nugs but no kick whatsoever.

a better product is to mix your own soil and make your own nutrient teas.

You guys are saying Miracle-Gro Organic Choice products are not organic?

Hmm. Thanks for that link. I kinda figured they had an "organic" line. It's hard to say whether the line is truly organic or not. Miracle grow does not certify their product through a third party, but that doesn't necessarily mean that it isn't organic.

I figure Miracle Grow's "organic" is similar to the Safeway brand of "organic". They are using the governments loose definition of organic to get some extra cash out of all the greenies.

At any rate, jaykush is right, as always. Build your soil and feed it tea, and everything will be alright.
