Minimum size for "Mother & Clones" room

Could such a space be enough for: a shelf with a hydroponic cutting tray and a thriving big mother plant in soil?

Dimensions:

L - 223cm / 7.31 ft

H - 185cm / 6.06 ft (It has a sloped ceiling on one side so this is the max)
W - 92cm / 3.01 ft

:thank you:

That should work well. My room is 5x4x7H and houses eight mothers/vegging plants as well as a 2x4 heat mat with clone trays. Also houses all storage for nutes and grow room materials as well as the 30 gallons rez for my flower room. It's all a matter of creative and efficient use of space. Think vertically.

You could theoretically house a few moms in a very small micro sized space. You could graft many strains to her branches, instead of having multiple plants.

Also could completely bypass having any extra space or equipment for propagation, by simply air layering all your cuttings. Not only is it a superior method to rooting out cuttings, it keeps the moms pruned up and small, as you can take as large of a clone as you want as long as its under say 30% of the whole plant.

I have kept moms for years in a small space...bonsai style all the way. Does not take much at all and they do not need a ton of light. This cab measured about 18x29 with 192 watts of t-5 ho. It is not tall either as you can see. Room for plenty more....

That's looks real nice man. I'm gonna fix me a better mother room. You definitely got a nice setup.

That's about what I'm wanting to fix up. I've got plenty of room to section off a area for mothers, clones, mis stuff. I'm just now getting some good clones, plus I found a beautiful San Fernando Lemon Kush that I got from Sweat Seeds. Couldn't believe how frosty and good, glad I got a cut/mom outta it.
I kinda like to do my seedlings and clones seperate, but could have the option. Good thread,

Over 10 years here, and I definitely vote for bonsai mums as well. You may (depending on your style/setup) want a separate veg chamber with a bit more space and light. Larger plants take a bit longer to create, especially when you start with such small clones or slow growing mums. ;)

3 mum plants, six seedlings/cuttings. From my second grow room almost 10 years ago.

That plant, front right, is the thunk I still flower to this day.

If your veg room were in NYC, you could rent it out for a grand, easy.

You good.

lol
