Mini split in townhouse garage

I am finishing construction of a 4x4x6 600W grow cab in my garage. I have been running in tents for a few years and decided to upgrade.

I'm starting to wonder how I can maximize my space. I have about 7' X 10' of space for flower and I could use my 4x4 for moms/clones. I figure I could run 6 600s for flower.

I'm in a townhouse complex. My wife parks on the other side of the garage. We have a HOA that is somewhat restrictive on permitting additions outside of units, so not sure I could get approval for an air conditioning unit outside of the garage. There's space for it and I could inquire, assuming they'll say no.

Can you run a mini split inside a garage? How much noise do they generate? Looking at my situation, what are my other options for cooling?

I use a fan to cool my hood and pull exhaust through a carbon filter. I don't have active ventilation of the garage. The tent stays a couple degrees warmer than the garage. Temps rarely reach 80 F

my hoa only stipulated that the ac not be seen from the street. its as simple as that.

in your case, with a duplex? idk might be different. but people put AC units in there garage ALL the time. seriously its not a big deal at all.

its usually a home buisness thing, but honestly AC is useful for pretty much all activities. police officer i knew had the back 6 feet or so of his garage built out to house his little gun smithing setup.

wood shop? well an AC helps u keep expensive lumber straight and true with constant humidity... low humidity also keeps your tools free of pit corrosion without need of oil or waxes.

machine shop, storeing shit... pantry, shipping shit etc.
