reading the instructions on the mitsu mini split they say not to put the outside condenser unit in a windy location?
I have to install mine in what mite be a windy location?

is there a performance issue with this?
i am in a multi story unit and don't want to start adding xtra lineset for a ground loc.

not one i can think of,provided youre not in gale force winds id say its fine, i think thats a disclaimer in case a high wind puts it through the neighbors window, theyre not responsible :pirate: i have 2 on the roof no probs with wind yet

yeah,
i see your point ss66.
and the instruction don't go into any whys about it.

Ive only seen one in use and the fan RPMs don't are nowhere near of a fan in a conventional condenser unit so i was thinking high winds would impede the fan maybe?? :shucks:

thats the only thing that comes to mind as well, it would take an incredibly strong wind to alter the fan into a potentially damaging situation imo..i wouldnt worry about it
