MINI SPLIT Air Conditioner vendors?

I would recommend getting a mitsubishsi Factory OEM lineset.
many of the generic's are for R22 flairs and not F410A specific flairs.

I'd check this out, start on post 223 by ez rider

Thanks for the help. It's really appreciated. I'll be sure to post up the room once its complete.

I'm running 3 1000 double ended lights (i've got the air cooled AC/DE
hoods) Hopefully this is sufficient. We'll see

Has anyone put one of these in a basement garage? I have a large 2 bay garage that I was planning on putting this in. It's where my room is located (half basement half garage)

Looking to upgrade to AC/DE hope this works for you as my set up would be almost the same. Let us know and good luck

I'll be sure to do so. I still have some thoughts to go through regarding only running the 8 inch fan at 10% per OEM specs. I've got time as everything is dependent on delivery of the AC sytsem.

I'm thinking this may allow me to run a much shorter carbon filter. You can take a look at my album to get an idea of the space I use.

Are you asking about putting the compressor unit in a garage?

That would be correct. I'm assuming its kosher to put one in there, considering I'll be putting a water heater that utilizes a heat pump that will be in the very same area.

The compressor section will not be in the grow space. The room divides a garage and a living room.

you understand the compressor is a all in one unit that need tons of air flow to be able to work 100% , the air is moved over coils and will heat up a enclosed room , perhaps you are talking about opening the garage door ?

that being said if you do it make sure you can vent the hot air created by the condenser up and out

On a slight tangent, would you guys know how significant the difference between a 13 SEER and a 15-17 SEER unit would be?

All of the higher BTU QUICK CONNECT mini's I've been looking at (32k-36k btu) are low SEER rating (13 SEER-15 SEER).

There's very affordable 24k BTU quick connect units that are 17.8 SEER. I would REALLY love the extra 12k btu cooling power, but 4.8 SEER in efficiency seems like a big deal. Is it really worth it to only buy the higher SEER units? I'm hoping to cool 5k barebulb + co2gen in a sealed room, I would need 32kbtu +. Would be stuck with 4k barebulb barely keeping up with the 24k btu unit.

Opening the Garage doors is not an option, unless I'm present of course. That said, the garage is 900 sq feet (30x30) My thoughts are I can get away with it in the Winter fall and spring months.

I'd like to figure a way to capture the heat generated to heat the house. It will sit right next to my air handler for the central HVAC. Would be awesome if I could somehow tie it in.

BTW, thanks for the reply. I'm definitely in new territory in here. Luckily, I'm trump tight in capital. So if I have to move it I can. I'm not even sure how a mini would do outside at or below 0c.

Also, my water heater is a heat pump. I know they won't cancel each other outv(at least I haven't looked at the specs). But the units sitting next to each other will be hilarious.

jay my back up 24,000btu breeze is inside the building my room is in.
it'll work placing the condenser inside provided your temps
don't exceed the *what ever temps* it won't work at.I
have no idea what that is
BUT
in the summer i was pushing 90-100F temps inside
which is what the out door temps can easily reach in florida and my unit purrs..:)

I don't know what the hi end temp is that would give probs for the condenser unit '
to do it's job,
but as long as its in line with outside hi end temps it'll work

I have my 24K inside my barn and it is fine fall-spring. Summer it can get to 110 in there but it still works fine as a unit. As long as there is nothing that can't take temps that high(in my case storage water)You'll be fine.
