i read in big book of buds vol. 1 that you should water with mineral water, though this was said by kc brains, which makes me a skeptic...... anyone have an opinion either way?

Hmmm,

Well my friend swears by perrier and it's Co2... I think they consider that mineral water...

Personally, I have tried it and it didn't do shit for me. Though I was very young and I believe I only used it in one of my 'first grows' compared to my crop now, you could say I had many many 'first' grows.

geeze i cant even afford to drink perrier much less spray my plants with it. You can get big bottles of carbonated water in the dollar store but what I do is use filtered tap water and put and air pump and air stone and let it bubble for about 24 hours before i use it. There is reference in the organic forum about the benefits of oxigenated water.

Spraying with carbonated water can be "somewhat" helpful. Watering with it could only be detrimantal, because roots need oxygen. Carbonated water has carbon dioxide in it, not oxygen. Dan42nepa is adding oxygen to the water which is a good thing. Basically, your roots need oxygen to do their job. If you suffocate them with CO2 enriched carbonated (seltzer) water, your going to run into problems.

Spraying your plants during veg with carbonated water (sodium free) can be helpful as it releases CO2 for the leaves to absorb. Plus I haven't yet met a plant that didn't like a good spraying down now and then. The amount of CO2 you release is minimal, but it is still beneficial.

Perrier is a mineral water, but is carbonated, so I don't know what to tell ya about watering with it..I guess just leave the cap off and let it go flat before you water with it.
