My guess, though, is that the tweak to the electrical system tipped off a meter reader or the power company . . . . .

Stealing power gets you pinched every fucking time! I bet that is how this person was busted even though they credit an anonymous tip. That alone would not have been enough to justify a warrant so they had to have other evidence such as power theft.

I know that the article, if it is factual at all regarding the "tip", doesn't give us anywhere near enough information to make any reasonable guess.

Dude was living it up for 6 years though. Id guess that one of the neighbors just finally put the clues together. Or maybe the landlord- who knows. After six years of growing in the same spot you probably start to get a little complacent too. Who hear people who say you shouldnt stay at one place too long- a few harvest- then move, but it has to be tough to do if its working, you know. But then again, when youre that big you cant do it alone which means other knew about his grow- which means - never good.

Damn here they have hooked up with the power company to see who is using too much power.. One of the biggest problems here is the smell. No one can control the smell and they put things in the newspaper like if you can smell a strong odor of skunk please call the cops... Ppl call them too..
