Introduced by Sen. Darwin Booher (R) on May 12, 2011, to give law enforcement agencies the names of all those to whom a medical marijuana card has been issued. The bill would amend Initiated Law 1 of 2008; because this law was adopted in a popular vote, giving the names of these patients to police would require a three-fourths vote.
Referred to the Senate Judiciary Committee on May 12, 2011.

This is interesting. So what's next? Do we then require all patients who received a script for Vicodin, Oxycontin, Valium, etc., are registered on a Law Enforcement database?

What's more interesting is this concept that if you're operating within the law, you should somehow have to register with Law Enforcement.

Not to mention that current patients are registered with the Michigan Department Of Community Health.

Seems like there ought to be a firm barrier between patient/medical records and Law Enforcement databases..
