Michigan Outdoor 2012

W

will.canna

Hello everyone! If you will be growing outdoor in the beautiful state of Michigan (USA) during 2012, please contribute to this thread!

Where is the best area (county/city) to grow?

What is the best sized pot to use for a minimum 1 pound plant? or a 5 pound plant? Use a 100 gallon smart pot or a custom build 13.5 c.ft. bed?

Does anyone have an original Michigan land-race strain? Show it!

Michigan could be the next California or Colorado! Please contribute to this thread in an effort to cultivate a 'Michigan Grower's' conversation!

Growing outdoors in Michigan is considered illegal in most areas. The law states in a "secured faculty" My avay is for the most part a land race around here ;).. we also hav some MTFuk that has established it self quite nicely at the 45th parralle..good luck

Going to have to drop some knowledge here.....No-where in the Michigan law does it say anything about "security". The law states that the plants must be kept in a "locked and enclosed" facility. That is all the law states, however our current fuckstick AG, Bill Schutte likes to "interpret" these laws officially and send his crazy ass ideas of the law to local authorities. It remains up to these local authorities on how they handle it, Where I live in Wayne county it isn't an issue as they have much bigger things to worry about. Washtenaw, Jackson, and Genessee also seem to pretty cool on the issue. Livingston and Ingham not so much...I would say it has more to do with your county authorities than anything, the state boys aren't going to come out unless they're called by locals. Unless of course you live in Livingston where LAWNET will come and harass and rob you until you move.....I hate them fucking guys...

Thanks for the luck paladin420!

This will be my second outdoor grow, beginning with a rainy last year.

As far as I understand it from the MMMA of 2008, my grow, either indoors or outside, requires a 'locked and enclosed' facility, not 'secure'.

So you have me a little confused there....Bill Schuette has many confused as well.

But Other than that, Wayne, Washtenaw, Shiawasee, & Genesee counties have been know to allow outdoor grows, supported by proper paperwork & a locked and enclosed facility.

Can you share some more info on the Avay and MTFuk? They sound awesome.

I have been wondering about using supersoil's outside? worth the cost/effort???

depends upon whom you ask.

according to the act: a lock, a key, and enclosure (vague)
according to the King Case: not a dog kennel.
according to AG Bill Schuette: must have a roof & no more than 12 plants per room.
according to the Police Department of your particular county: who knows.....

As for the vague 'enclosure' requirement, perhaps so far as a professional greenhouse with a lockable door and a security system. Many enclosures will work, as long as they provide the necessary sunlight, & protection from thieves (aka cops) and weather.
