Michigan Medical Outdoor 2015

Hey guys just thought id drop in and document our 10 plant Michigan medical marijuana garden this year. As Michigan law states we must have an enclosed (including top) anchored cage that can not be visible to neighbors by the unaided eye. (whatever unaided eye is lol). All I know is nobody but us can see it. Lol anyways its a 20' x 30' cage and we run 10 plants in 65 gallon smart pots this is are 2ND year in this cage and we are extremely exited to Get our starts in there final homes!! Will be uploading some pictures tonight!!

I'm more than ready to get the clones in there final homes, I'm chomping at the bit. Gonna prolly get it done this weekend. I started putting them out around may 10th but was bringing them back in at sundown to give them a couple extra hours of light to keep from flowering on me plus it kept them warm during those chilly nights, we were having sum cold nights up until a week ago, then i would move them out before work at sunrise. I stopped that around 7 days ago and haven't had any signs of flowering yet so I doubt they will at this point I've always had good luck putting clones out may 21st (depending on the weather of course lol) where I'm at without issues...knock on wood.

Oh by the way the cuts we are running blazing blue which is a UK livers cut crossed with Casey Jones finishes late September. LA Confidential from DNA late September finisher. Cheese, she finishes 1st week October. Gorilla Glue #4 which I've never run outside but I've seen a few guys here on Icmag run it outside so I do know she prolly will go till late October so I'll just let her go as long as I can by covering her. Also I have 1 nightfire og from sin city seeds that I'm not sure when will finish but will accommodate. One more thing I forgot too add our south facing cage gets roughly 11 hours of direct sun.

After putting them in there final homes of 65 gal smart pots I will be caging them with 48 in. welded wire caging possibly 60 in. it all depends I gotta by 100 ft of it. I will be picking that up this weekend. I'm going to wrap it around the pots and anchoring it to the ground as to not have Any disasters lol. Then later in the year I will be doing a secondary trellis using 1"x 1" posts and plastic netting.

Lol one more thing sorry guys, In the future years we might just fill up the damn near 150 gal holes I have dug out there and pop the plant in but there is alot of clay there so I would be worried about drainage issues more so than just having the smart pots sitting on top of the clay, we had no issues with drainage last year but id like to make sure one more year before I decide to put them in a permanent spot, at least the 65 gal. smart pot can be moved for the first 1.5 months if any issues occur yeah moving 65 gal pots would be a pain but it could be done if necessary.

Anyways I dug the Holes initially for more head room in the cage. Recessing the pots gave me at least a foot of extra head room which def. came in hand last year. As you can see we are using fox farm ocean forest for our soil we have had great luck with it in the past top dressing with ewc and rainbow mix veg until 2.5 weeks into flower then switch to rainbow Mix bloom.

Looks like a good spot!

Just a little heads up ....a friend in smiths creek MI. had a helicopter fly over and spot his grow.

To my surprise the cops came and raided his place, but took nothing.
They told him his grow can not be visible from the air.
So he spent almost 20 grand on a hard top greenhouse.

Not tryin to scare you, just passin on what I know, be safe and best of luck.

Hey shaggy thanks for stopping in!!! And thank you for the heads up brother I appreciate it!!! No you arnt scaring me we have been running in This spot for 3 years now since they added to the law to include outdoor as long as U follow there strict rules, this is the 2ND year in this particular cage, and we have had a couple helicopters fly over this cage and to our surprise haven't been messed with yet thank God, knock on wood of course. We def. understand the risks we take as do most other medical growers. Lol key word being most, some of us think they can't be messed with as long as Ur within the law and those people are sorely mistaken. It's extremely unfortunate that the LEO interprets the law the way they see fit which is bull.

I do believe the law says in a round about way it can't be seen by anybody but of course it doesn't state in particular you have to make it unable to be seen from the air that way they can leave it up to the law to decide. Ridiculous, sorry to hear about your buddy getting screwed after spending so much on a hard top GH, what do they expect people to do it says you can grow outdoors but it can't be visible from the air!?!? Then how are the plants suppose to get sun!?!? Lol if a greenhouse like your buddy had isn't cover enough then I don't get it, unless this was in 2012 before they revised the law to allow outdoor cultivation, either that or the law dident know the new revisions....what a surprise lol

Oh never mind disregard the least part of my post. Ur buddy spent big money on the green house because of them saying it couldn't be visible from the air I understand now, but still I think they should add "it can't be visible from the air" to the law instead of being so damn vague, but that's Michigan medical for ya lol

I agree you could have a concrete wall 50 feet high all the way around with a solid steel jail house door on it, but if it has an open top it is illegal?
Just silly.
