MH and fluro's together?

I got a 250w MH light and 7x20w cool white CFL's...Was just wondering if i put the fluoro's in the cab aswell as the MH would it be for better or for worse?...

yeah it will go up bit, but it wont be too drastic. surely nothing more then 20-30$ a month.

btw, make sure you invest in a thermometer! temps should be 80F-70f lights on and no lower then 60F when lights off.

Maybe Add some 42 Watt Warm White CFLS? For a mixed spectrum.

My beans popped last week and I start them with flouros. I start the MH at about one week and I run it for only 9 hours the first day and increase gradually it to 16 hours. In the meantime, the flouros are running too for 16 hours as the MH light catches up with it. Then I lower the MH light closer and turn off the flouros. I turn on a fan as soon as the beans popped and I turned on the flouros. That 250 watter is plenty enough for veg stage. For flowering, I step up to a 600 watt hps.

Finances prohibit me from getting a 600w ...so i'm hoping to do the full grow with 250w MH and 160w fluoro's...all the fluoro's are cool white...hopefully it'll be enough light?

dude in my opinion the mh is probly doing just fine on his own.
put the cfls to use on somthing cool like a micro grow

J-roc i would do a micro grow on the side except that the last grow i did with the fluoro's alone didn't yield nearly as much as it could've,so for this one i want to see how many plants i can get in total and how much bud off each plant i can get...

the cool white cfls are best at vegging. your girlies will never get enough light, jroc is right though, they could probably get by just fine with the mh. unless your growing for personal smoke though cfls yield will basically never prosper as much as hids. cfls are awesome however for micros and mom cabs..... in my past experiences anything less than 600w never costed me more than fifteen sixteen bucks...
