Metallic Green Beetle?

I saw this thing run out from my plant as I was moving her. Is it harmful?

Ha I googled "metallic green beetle" and found out it was a tiger beetle. (I love technology) It says it eats small insects so I should've waited before tossing him outside.

If you can get over how creepy spiders are, they are excellant for natural pest control! As for larger predators like the tiger beetle, they eat a lot & will quickly starve.
